This school was one of the best schools around. I graduated in 1996 and went to work with only 150 hours of education. I noticed one thing as a therapist is, clients ask questions about their bodies and I couldn't not address them with a correct answer.

I decided to go back to school and learn more, so much so, that I went from 150 hours to 1,600 hours of in classroom education. I started working for the School I graduated from in 2001 when I finished the program. I needed a private post secondary certification and since I had an experience teaching classes (personal trainer) I decided to continue my education at the same time teach.

I noticed one thing that started to change, the students were being charged more and more every year. I understand the rising costs of tuition. Now the school has the an national accrediting body behind it so the student can make loans out to finance their way through, well guess what, the tuition is now close to 20,000 and is ridiculous if to pay out of pocket but because of this accreditation you can apply for a loan.

Well to me, loans are not grants or free money. This student is responsible to pay it back. Also, they change the core curriculum deleting sports which is the basis for employment to Stone massage, a workshop class, and they got rid of the written finals in all of the adv. classes except anatomy and physiology. This is wrong and would only cause had ship in the long term for the student.

What happened to education, written finals, this person is a rip -off. OH one other thing, even though I worked 35 - 40 hours a week, I didn't get health care although I know of one instructor who did, and he fired him because owner didn't want to insure him anymore. I asked for health care 3 years ago, never getting it.

The owner has also lied to me about money and raises and lies to students about what type of modalities are a key selling point using the stone class as a launching pad to add more money to his greedy pockets. Stones do not make you a better therapist, you the therapist make who you are, education and owning responsibility to it is key to a knowledgeable therapist and with that clients feel confident that they had mad a wise choice in you as a therapist.

Dr. Paul is Canadian and is here just to rip off California with his high prices and inferior teachings. I know, I taught for him, he came and audited my class only after teaching there 3 1/2 years,, when students who were completing his inferior program were complaining about my talking over their heads, they didn't know there muscles,, come on,, these are students who are have completed a basic class of knowing your muscles but because he doesn't want to learning as part of his curriculum instead focusing one technique. Again, knowledge and technique go hand in hand, cutting off one hand makes you only half a therapist. Education is a must in this field.
