Cam Tech Photo and Repair I brought my Digital Canon Rebel for repair( error 99) and basically they charged me $275.00, which I paid and it doesn't work! Bend, Oregon
In Novemeber 2009 I took my camera in for repair. I was getting a nondiscript error of 99. They told me it was not my battery and that they would need the camera for testing. One month later they said it needed some special part that they needed to send for to repair my problem. After several weeks went by I finally called them to see if my camera was ready.. still nothing...finally February 21,2010 my camera is ready...and they gave me a 90 day warranty. Well after getting it home, they camera is still not working. Same problem. Took the camera back and they told me, first the battery that I was using was generic and I should by a Cannon battery, which I did, then they told me the charger I was using was generic and they would be happy to order me a cannon battery..so I said okay.....a month later, the charger never came in, so they gave me one of theirs which they use all the time.
Another two weeks goes by...my camera is still not working. Finally I get disgusted again...took my camera back, asking for my money back...they said they could not ive me my money back that I could have a credit in their store....( I have lost all my trust in them by this time).The owner said that she would swop my camera body for one that she had in the shop..that was a newer model Cannon Rebel than mine was...but she wanted to check it out first to see if it worked. I told her...that I REALLY wanted a camera that worked because I was visiting my granddaughter on the 10th of June who lives in Bellingham Washington and I don't get to see her very often. This was the second week of May...They said, "oh no problem, we will have it to you in plenty of time"..So two weeks ago I call again....that camera seemed to be un fixable as well...put me of another week. Called again...camera still not working. It's the 8th of June and I still don't have a camera to take on my visit and I'm PISSED!
