CAMCO Trying to rip us off. Rockford Illinois
My husband was recently contacted by CAMCO. They stated that we owe them $5000 on one account and another $2300 on another account for Bank of America. They would be nice enough to settle for a lesser amount. HOW ABOUT NOTHING!!!!
We contacted Bank of America and they indicated that they never issues a credit card or any other credit to my husband. We even received a letter from B of A stating this fact.
CAMCO has been harassing me with constant phone calls. Three times in one day. They are rude, obnoxious and forceful. They said that the debt is from 1984 and that no bill goes unpaid.
I did some research with Credit Report agencies. They said that they have no record of Bank of America on any of my husband's credit reports. Where are they getting our information from?
I am in the process of contacting the FTC, the BBB and attorney general for my state. If anyone has any information that would be helpful to get these people off our backs it would be greatly appreicated.

Don't even talk to these guys, just keep a record of everything they do. They cannot do anything to you. As soon as you can, cruise through this web site where you will find first rate information from Scott the sCAMCO killer and truly awesome defender of consumers. I did what he said and haven't heard a word from them. Good luck.
