Camco: Rick Thomas ripoff Rockford Indiana
On Aug. 20, 2003 my husband got letter from Rick Thomas at CAMCO. It said he owed 3,808.27 on account that was paid off in 1994. I called him and he said there was no record that the account was paid off. I told him that I have a copy of a Cashier's Check that said the account was paid in full.
The date on the cashier's check is June 13, 1994. He said that we would have to send a letter saying that we are not going to pay it and that we dispute the validity of the debt. So I did. Now on Dec. 22, 2003 we got a letter wanting us to settle for $952.00 by Dec. 31, 2003. Or they will report it on his creit report. We are not ever going to call or write to them now that I have found this web site and found out they are a rip off. I'm glad I found out before I sent in the money.
