It has come to our attention that Randy Townsend has been at it again.  And, in fact, has caused the firing of the founder of Camperworld (Glen Hatch) along with the marketing team of Camelot Marketing.  Also, certain long time members of the Camperworld staff have also been terminated, due to their loyalty to Glen.  We lived through and witnessed the last hostile take-over attempt by  Randy Townsend and the resulting consequences it caused the Camperworld members.  Because of the lawsuit that had to be filed against him for his deviant actions, Camperworld members were assessed a $600 assessment to pay for the legal fees that he caused the company.

Well, he's done it again.  Along with other members of the current Camperworld Board of Directors, they have unlawfully fired Glen Hatch and other staff members and are currently in a lawsuit - that the members know nothing about!  The letter that went out to all of the members recently - that Glen Hatch had "retired".  Nothing is farther from the truth!  He was hostily thrown out of the company that he (and Des Townsend and Bob Blackley) founded!  And by the same greedy person who tried to do it six years ago.

My question is who is going to do the marketing now that Camelot is terminated?  Is it the same crooked fellow that tried to sell us an "upgrade" to our existing membership.  I have spoken with other members who are afraid that if they don't do the membership upgrade that they will loose their membership.  What kind of strong arm tactics are they using to get members to purchase this "upgrade".  Is this person going to be doing the selling of new memberships now that Camelot is gone?  Camperworld indicated that they are going to be selling "in-house" now.  I guess that means the same guy...  Members and buyers beware!!

We are tired of the shenanigans that have been brought upon this company by certain greedy individuals who have nothing but their own interest at heart.  We have put a ton of money into our membership, only to wonder if this thing is even going to be here in the next year.  We have not paid our membership dues for the year, waiting to see if Camperworld is going to be around.  We do not have much hope for the future of this company after the last few years of discord.

Our hope is that the current Board of Directors will be honest with the Beneficial members and give us an update as to the financial situation of Camperworld.  As I said, we do NOT want to plug any more money into a failing company.  It used to be that Camperworld would mail out a yearly financial statement.  After the new Board was put into place, we cannot even request a financial statement.  What are they hiding?  Why is it so hard to get any information?

Please send out an honest newsletter and let us know what is going on.

Being an timeshare owner of camperworld I am very concerned of the lack of contact from the company.  The last contact I had from them was a request for &800 to keep their doors open.  All the resorts are closed & we are unable to use them even though we have paid our yearly maintenance fee.  When you call the company we get a message that the office is closed and to go to the web site for information.  This only tells you that they will be open May 1st.  Nothing else about if the company is still viable or not.  I don't want to pay an assesment fee to a company that has it doors closed to it's members!  Seems to be a sinking ship Fast!

I too am fed up with additional "special assessments", enough is enough.  I would be more than happy to give back my membership for what I have paid, not even considering all of the dues and other assessments I have paid over the almost 30 years we have owned this membership.  I would be interested to join with other Beneficial Members in some kind of action against the Trust for Mismanagement.  Sell some of the parks to get the money they need, I can't afford to continue to pay every time they need more money.  This isn't the government, it's a business and I'm fed up and want some action.
