Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We were at the RV Show in Salt Lake City and were given an invite to a dinner to preview a Camping program.  We checked them out on the Utah BBB before going to dinner and all seemed fine.  We went to the dinner at Thanksgiving Point and it amounted to a high pressure sales job to join the Camperworld program.

The program as explained would allow us to camp at several of their campgrounds, would allow our family (married children and grand children) to be a part of program, and it was transferable to our family later, because as a trustee we owned the campsites.  It was stated that we could reach ATV trailheads by ATV from each of the campsgrounds.  We were also told that camping in Utah would one day come to an end as we currently knew it and if people didn't have a camping program with designated places to go it would be impossible to camp.  We were told of the annual fee of $425.00 and any additional needs would be a one time assessment as needed.  After the first year the assessment was raised to $500.00 without explanation and we never saw a letter for any one time assessments.  The price started in the $6000.00 range and as the meeting progressed with our mediator it kept dropping until it reached $3200.00.

Later, we found out about the lies and disceptions; 1) They apparently didn't consult the Utah State Department of Forest Service because we have been told by Rangers, "The parks may be forced to shut down to camping but the boondocking in Utah will never end".  Boondocking we have found is right in the middle of many of the ATV trails.  Since we are  self contained it suits us fine.  2) Only one of the six Camperworld's we are allowed to use, can ATV's reach a actual trailhead.  Mount Pleasant is the only one with good access to Trailheads and it is limited at some times.  3)  Fees for guests at Camperworld are not reasonable.  Our guests will not go to Camperworld with us because we both can camp for a night in a National Forest or on BLM land for less than the fee Camperworld charges.  Doesn't inspire them to sign up with Camperworld.

We were supposed to have a meeting to discuss changes and they cancelled because all of our primary parties couldn't meet.  Like they can dictate our schedules.  One of our primary parties works full time and is not going to take time off for another raw raw session on how are we going to get more money for the scam from these people.

We have stayed at camps outside of Utah for half the price with twice the amenities.  We can't camp enough at Camperworld in one year to give value to ourselves at the current price.  If we camp 15 nights the value is roughly $33.00 per night based on the $500.00 annual fee and that doesn't count the base fee of $3200.00.  No value in remaining at Camperworld, just putting good money after bad.
