Camping World Inflated service charges GoldenInternet, Colorado
I made arrangements to have a replacement wter heater installed at a predetermined price. I had removed the existing wtaer heater, had all of the lines and wires set to go so this should have been a 30 to 45 minute job at the least.
I had my Jayco travel trailer winterized there last winter and they did not even install the by pass line for the water filter which was in clear site so even then I questioned their competence.
This install was to be done at approx $129, which is what they charge on an hourly basis. I sure wish I could find a job at that rediculous rate!
I was informed that it was going to be $317 when I called yesterday.
Although that is a small amount in the scheme of things based on other reports I have seen filed re: Camping World as you climb up the service requirement ladder it will escalate exponentially.
Once I pick up my camper, I won't be going back.

I would like to withdraw this report, if possible.
There were circumstances related to this service I was not aware of until I pikced up the unit.
I won't go into long deatail but I would like to apologize re; this particular Camping World and the service department manager.
I will continue to do business there.

That the $129 seems to be a number that is pulled out of your head based on what you THINK it should take and nothing that was "officially" quoted. When it was an actual quote they quoted you $317.
So did they do the quote before the work? If you didn't like it why are you having them do the work..go find someone else to do it cheaper. If they did the work and then told you the price did you authorize the work without asking what the price was?
What exactly did the $317 include?
