June 06, 2017 - On 06/04/2017 I called the Internet Sales Manager at Camping World Myrtle Beach, SC to inquire about a specific RV they displayed on the website. The RV was reduced to a very attractive price as it was a 2017 model and had been on their lot for over 200 days. I informed them as well that I had bought my current RV from them just 2 years earlier and I was a repeat customer.
After speaking with the manager for about 45 minutes we agreed to allow him to run our credit card for 10% of the price to hold it until we could drive there 5 days later to buy the RV. The hold money was totally reimburseable. I was out of state and Myrtle Beach, SC is a 4 hour drive from my home.
I called the manager 2 days later to provide some financial information so the process could get moving before we arrived. During this time the manager informed me they had just sold the RV we had on hold. But was all too eager to offer some other options at their regular price.
So this company cannot be trusted and obviously has no business ethics. The top priority is whoever gets to the lot first. A company always shouting how much they care about their customers. This greed and dishonestly should tell everyone just what type of people operate this store.
I highly recommend you run from these people as fast as possible. Find another RV company.
