Capital First ripoff fraud theft Virginia
May 31 2002 - call from Capital First offering $2,500 Mastercard with zero interest. To obtain special offer package, including holiday and hotel vouchers, they need to withdraw $29.95 from checking account.
1 June - Money withdrawn to CFB
3 weeks later, no package. Call them, they promise to send another, must have got wrong address.
2 Weeks later they withdraw $99.50 and $59.50 from account.Still no package.I call and complain. They had no authority to withdraw money.They say they will refund, but it is in agreement with the package.What package? Still never recieved package. They promise to send package again.
weeks later Hertford Auto Club, and some long distance phone company try to take money from account. Yet again I call and complain. Its all in your package sir, trial agreements....
What package? Still recieved nothing. They say sorry and say they put it on missing articles list, and will send out another. They say if I am not happy with package they will refund money.
2 weeks pass, and again I call them- this time I am told
that they have sent me my card!Funny- I did not agree or sign anything. My only verbal agreement was the first one- the $29 for the package.What package? What card? What company?
There is a little button on my answermachine, called
memo- just as well I recorded them (well, they say they record you)...Have reported to bank and police.
