I had purchased home warranty from Capital Homeshield for the amount of $321.00 from the agent Jeffrey Griffin on 06/22/2010. He could not convince me enough for a three year plan and I opted for a one year plan. I was told that after enrolling they would send the policy indicating the coverage and despite trying to call them or email them, never received any documents electronic or paper. In addition I recentlyhad a plumbing problem and I tried to call them. The number 1-877-289-9818 advertised for contact is constantly busy. I checked their website http://www.capitalhomeshield.com/ and it states under Need help?... "We are experiencing some technical difficulties with our phone system, email inquiries to [email protected]."
I have tried to send them an email to no avail. Looks like they are out of business or not responding to the customers who have purchased the policy. It is absolutely frustrating and I will never recommend these guys or any other Home Warranty company. After this incident I have tried to check home warranty companies and unfortunately it looks like all of them have a lot of complaints despite a few of them having A+ BBB rating. The whole business appears to be fraudulent and I am going to file a BBB complaint against these guys. This is just another scam.
