Capital One Finance charges on zero balance account CapitalOne Sallas Texas
My husband and I worked very hard to pay off our bills and are now virtually debt free. Twice now, in the past three months, Capital One has attempted to impose finance charges on accounts I have paid in full. They are very nice and apologetic when I call and question the basis for the finance charges and yes, they have removed them both times, but their actions bother me.
The first time I called the operator I spoke with attempted to justify the fee by stating the finance charges were imposed because the purchases I had made were towards the end of their billing period (?????) Like what does THAT mean? They were on my billing statement which I paid in full WELL before the due date. The following month, the operator just laughed it off as an 'oops'.
Sorry, but I don't believe a financial giant like Capital One makes very many 'oopsies'.
