Car Computer Exchange Imperial Car Computer Exchange absolute scam! they sent wrong car computer, which was completely unmarked. Two independent sources verified that it was the wrong unit. They lied and would not issue a refund. Cary North Carolina
I needed a car computer for my Dodge Truck. I found Car Computer Exchange online and they stated that they would send the correct car computer if I give them the truck information. I sent them the VIN of the vehicle and all the pertinent information they requested. After I paid they sent me a car computer which had no codes, no model numbers, no demarcation of any sort whatsoever. My mechanic installed the car computer and ran tests and found that the car computer was one year older than my vehicle and therefore not compatible. I contacted Car Computer Exchange and they said that it must be the correct computer. So I took it to the dealer who tested it and confirmed that the computer was one year older than my vehicle and therefore incompatible.
I contacted Car Computer Exchange and told them that it was the wrong computer and asked for a refund, since they "guarantee" their products and it has a warranty. They informed me that I would get a partial refund after a $50 restocking fee, making the refund practically worthless.
I mailed them the computer and they claimed they didn't receive it in time for me to get a refund.
This company is a complete scam. Avoid them like the plague unless you want to get completely ripped off like I was.
