I went to car hop in January of '08 in desperate need of a car. i had virtually no credit and very little money at the time. i ended up buying a '97 Chrysler Sebring. 3 days after i bought it i couldnt get it to start. when i called car hop they said i need to have a different dept call me and they werent open til monday and would have one of there reps call me. i ended up getting the car started after multiple attempts but they never called me back.

Not 3 months later my car was overheating and had to pay $244 to get that fixed. about 3 months after that i went to get the fuel filter changed and the company i took it to refused to replace it for fear of breaking the fuel lines because the bottom of the car was so rusted so i had to pay $930 for a distributor, fuel pump, fuel filter and a few other parts. And again about 6 months later after replacing the struts for $670 i had to get a new transmission put into the car. Thankfully that was covered by the warranty but when i got it back it stalled and spluttered really bad after driving for about 20 minutes every time i drove it. When i took it back to the place that fixed my car they said 5 of the 6 cylinders were misfiring so i had to take it to Midas because they didnt fix that sort of problem and pay over $1400 for them to give me all new plugs and wires (a complete tune-up) and rebuild a gasket because it was leaking oil so bad. But i was still having problems with the car so i took it back to Midas and they had to send it to a different location because they couldnt figure out what is wrong with it! When they got back to me they said they think it was the distributor...they had put on a refurbished one and it needed a NEW one and the part alone would cost around $1000. i have yet to get the car fixed because i cant afford to put in another $1000+ into it! The blue book Value on my car is $1910 in excellent condition....i bought it for $7195 with 19.99% interest and it is in NO WAY close to excellent condition!

Car Hop preys on people in desperate situations. It doesnt not make anyone's life easier it maked it more difficult and they couldnt care less about there customers. I would never advise anyone to get a car from Car Hop
