Cardio Club Fitness Mike Palazzo Cardio club hiawassee and raleigh st. Mike Palazzo is a con artist. He cheats you out of your money. he never pays you for the hours you've worked. To top it all off he has no remorse for it. orlando, Florida
Mike Palazzo is an incompentent a**hole/ con artist who NEVER pays on time and NEVER pays you the for the hours you've worked. I've been working at Cardio Club for about 6mths. and the first 4 mths. I was paid under the table!!! I asked repeatedly for a time card (that I have yet to receive) so that there would be records of my employment and so I can file for taxes at the end of the year.
During my time of employment here at Cardio Club I have never once been paid the right amount of money for the hours I've worked. Once I told him he shorted my check.. It took him almost 2 weeks to pay me!!!!! I went almost to weeks without a paycheck!! Not only is he negligent when it comes to paying his devout employees but, this disgusting characteristic bleeds into his other matters of business! I constantly recieve calls stating that a check he has written has bounce, He has a past due balances ect. Even the towel guy complains to me about how he is never paid on time and when he is paid his check bounces!!!!
A female manager here at Cardio Club quit because Mike Palazzo refused to pay her for 1 whole month along with one other employee and myself. When she confronted him about the situation he FIRED her!!! He told her she shouldn't question him on what he pays! What a dink! Then about 3 days later he rehired her and wrote her a check. Needless to say the check bounced! The manager was furious and and asked for another check with the fees for the bank included. he did so and the check bounced again!!!! Now she said her creditiblity with her bank is nonexistent. Then she quit with no money. Sad sad story.
The cleaning lady we had was also paid under the table and she was uncomfortable with the situation also. he never paid her the right amount of money either! One time she worked 75 hrs. and he only paid her for 35hrs. How rude and inconsiderate is that. This lady has kids and futhermore she is contributing to your business success and you don't have the common decency to pay her. Lucky she received a massive promotion with another company and the money Mike Palazzo refused to pay her looked like chump change. The cleaning lady we have now is paid under the table too. This goes on and on.
There were so "visitors" that can into the gym about 2 days ago and I over heard them say Mike Palazzo is an a**hole and this should scare him up! they then started taking picture of the gym and all the equipment. when one of my co workers asked what were they doing. they said they worked for a lender and this is a personal matter between Mike and the lender. One of the ladies started laughing as they were leaving and said again this should scare him up. With my observation I figured that they were another vitim of Mike Palazzo con artist tendencies! SO sad!
I hope people take heed to this and refrain form employement or business with him. He is a bad person and shows no remorse for the pain and inconveinence he causes you.

Where do we start "Brown Honey ??" Not exactly sure who this person is but if we can find out we can potentially pay this person for any hours they believe are owed ? We believe the manager who is mentioned in the report is the same individual who has legal case filed against them for stealing and cashing a check ? If we had to guess these two employees are upset about the charges that were filed as they are friends. (We will not use either of there names because our intension is not to publicaly damage them) Regardless if there is any money owed we would get them paid as fast as possible; If there are we are not aware of it. We will admit times have been tough and the economy and other issues have been a stress. To any who have waited for payments we do apologize this was not the intension just the result of rather hard economic times. Yet to our knowledge vendors and employees are now current ; if this is not the case please let us know? It is believed that much of this is obvious personal issues bleeding over into an attack of a individual who had no choice to file a report as money was stolen.
We are going on our 10 year anniversary in Dec and have current front desk employees who have been with us for more then 6 years ; not bad for a health club. We also see members everyday that signed up; now what is nearly ten years ago. Of course not everyone is happy after ten years of business and no people don't like to get let go regardless of the reasons and yes they out of anger create and exaggerate situations. ( Please understand there are two sides to every story)
The issues and examples stated are issues that seem to have been resolved. Again we have other employees and ex-employees who are on great terms and had been with us for several years not months. And yes employment is voluntary and they have chosen for 6 years to stay? The "under the table employees" are not employees but independent contractors who get 1099 at the end of the year. As for people in the center taking pictures we have no idea but sounds far fetched as there is no "lender" we know of ? Are you sure, they too called the guy an a*****e? just like "Honey Brown" of all the words this one must truly best describe him. So the "lenders came into the building took pictures and called the guy an a*****e; How about a Womanizer ? One other time in 2003 an employee was let go and the same type of claims were made. Now 6 years later two others upset with the filing of a theft report against one have personal attacks. The same person who replaced the the first complaint from 2003 still works there! Yet still If there is anything we can do for these individuals please call us and we will be happy to discuss. Yet we will not drop the charges filed until money is returned .
It is our hopes that we can help these past employees get satisfied in anyway we can. But it seems clear that there only intension is to personally attack or damage this company and individual. It should be noted that many present and past employees who have had long tenures with the company do not feel the same. Thank You
