Cares Auto Remarketing LLC Odometer Tampering/Odometer Fraud Irving Texas
I purchased a 2006 Honda Pilot FWD SUV on 6/6/2017 from Cares Auto Remarketing in Irving,TX. I had a mechanic check it out and it seemed to be fine except needed front tires, wheel bearing ,and wanted to verify timing chain was okay. However, when I contacted AAA to get insurance for the vehicle I was asked about the current mileage which at the time it had 129,655. I was then told that they showed on the last vehicle inspection the vehicle had 203,839 miles. The representative was kind enough to go back and read 2015 inspection report with mileage showing 190,822. He then emailed me the website to pull the information. On the paperwork it has 130,000 miles. I then emailed this company (paper trail) and I have not received a response. I called and spoke to Gracie and was told the owner would call me back. I have yet to receive a call back and when I attempted to call again no response.
Please tell me what you would advise. I really like the vehicle, but I do not want to put any extra money in it until I find out what I need to do about this. My only alternative is to report them to DMV and NHTSA becasue I search and found out they did this to another individual in May of this year. They went back to 10/24/2015 and it showed mileage of 190,882.This made me look at the mileage on your paperwork and it has 130,00(tmu). This is illegal and a felony. It is call Odometer Tampering or Odometer Fraud. I have the Vehicle Inspection History. What are you going to do about this?

I have to apologize to Cares Remarketing LLC. I did not know the 130,000 (tmu) meant that the mileage was not the actual mileage. I found out that it states it in the contract also! I recant my statement!
