Carillion is a company which sells itself on integrity and values, yet the reality couldn't be much further than the truth. It swaps contracts for employment roles e.g. the ministry of defence in the United Kingdom you will find many ex military and navy amongst its ranks. This is due to its contract wins being in exchange for retirement jobs for those leaving the services.
Bidding is at levels well below achievable levels, e.g. bidding an 18% saving on a contract that was setup 9 years ago. Results in staff being laid off and excessive pressure put on those that remain.
Whistleblowing does not exist in the business, if you try to bring to the surface the problems in the business they fire you and threaten you with gagging orders. Very corrupt and low moral business, in its day to day service of maintenance in Hospitals, government offices and general contracts it cannot meet its basic obligations due to lacking in staff with the right knowledge. But also restraining budgets due to the fact they under bid on contracts, this has left hospitals without generators, fire alarms and basic things like water testing.
I write this report today because this company is going to kill someone in the near future due to its lack of interest in actually doing anything it sells the business on.
