carleton thomas told my husband and I he was a lawyer and that he has a law degree and is a barrister and has a doctorate in law.  He has none of these.

He does not have a law degree or doctorate in law from Nottingham University.  He is a fraud.

He preys on people seeking legal advice.  He waits around the courts in Brisbane with a fake business card and hands out his card with his mobile number on it.

He has been in the newspapers in Queensland - Courier Mail and Sunday Mail - for ripping ordinary people off by getting money off them and then not doing legal work.  He only ever asks for cash and never gives receipts.  He was charged by police and has resurfaced against pretending to be a lawyer.

He is a con man; fraud and should be sent to jail and the key thrown away.  Takes advantage of people who are genuinely seeking legal advice and who have very little money, but he has no problem in taking what little money those people have and then bullying them into not complaining.

I am Carleton's former fiancee.    I wish to rebut the comments made that he has no law degree and is not a doctor in law (PhD in Law).  Carleton told me many times that he does in fact hold a doctorate in law from Nottingham University and that Paul Donnelly, Donnelly Lawyers, Unanderra was privy to the documentation from Nottingham.  Paul Donnelly himself confirmed that he was told by Carleton that Carleton has a doctorate in law.  I have no reason not to believe Carleton in that respect as it is quite a misdemeanour to state to clients that he has a law degree with a PhD in law if in fact he does not.  I do have in my possession an email that Carleton sent to me that he also sent to a Queensland Government Department in 2013 signing off "Dr Carleton Thomas".  This email was exhibited to Affidavit material by the Queensland Government Department.  I was also privy to Carleton introducing himself to people eg.  The Toowoomba Gold Club Accommodation Hotel Owners (husband and wife) that he was the lawyer for Tomaso Vincetti and Carleton even produced a newpaper clipping from the Courier Mail Newspaper showing a photo of Carleton leaving court after the hearing of the client's case.   So I wish to set the record straight - Carleton stated to me that he has a doctorate in law from Nottingham.  He stated that to me on many occasions.  He also told that to Mr Paul Donnelly and Mr Donnelly confirmed to me that he believes Carleton has a doctorate in law and is a Dr Thomas.
