Carnival Cruise Line Personal Planner Did not clearly confirm prices of trip Miami Florida
I decided after watching the prices drop to take my two sisters on a 4-day cruise out of Tampa. I am sorry to report that this personal planner did not clearly state the total prices of 2-bookings and only quoted one price. We were comparing the prices of 3 people in one room to what it would be for 2 separate rooms. She took a very long time to figure out that $1275 would be for one room (with 3 people) and 1002.02 would be for 2. I asked if this was both rooms, she replied yes. I trusted that the price was 1002.02 and after viewing where our room were (the very back of the ship on the bottom deck) I figured that was why they were so cheap. It turned out that was only 1-room (for 2 people) , and I was charged an additional 975.00 for 2nd room! The $975 price was never mentioned in the telephone call at all. There was no written confirmation of the prices discussed on the telephone. I only found out that she charged the agreed upon price plus an additional 975.00 AFTER the cruise!
My tough luck- no one offered to help, apologize, give partial credit or anything else. The "supervisor" and "grievance dept." both assumed the personal planner was right and I was wrong. Two rooms = two charges. She was very misleading and now I am stuck paying an additional 975.00. I'm not a happy cruiser, especially since I would have kept 3 of us in one room for the $1275!!!
Don't they tape record these conversations???
BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING ON THE TELEPHONE, there is no written confirmation for what your being charged, only the booking # to link you to the Fun Pass Card and no confirmation of what the cruise is costing you. I will NEVER book with a Personal Vacation Planner again!
