That is the first thing you learn about traveling : DON'T PUT MEDICATION IN CHECKED LUGGAGE !!!

Just got off a carnival cruise on Monday. YOU had the choice of walking off the ship with a small bag with your meds and valuables in your hot little hand. They give you the choice of putting your bags out the night before OR hauling them out yourself. Now, if you didn't want to carry off all the big bags, you could have put those out the night before and taken your meds and valuables in a small carry on the next morning. Kind of like checking your meds/valuables on an aircraft where they might get lost instead of carring them on yourself. Like I said, a no brainer. This was my first cruise but I got all the tips from my folks who have gone on dozens. I hauled all my stuff with me onto and off the ship directly, nothing got lost and gave us an extra few hours on the ship upon arrival and got off ahead of everyone else. Had a good time.

Simply stating that someone lost your lugguge is rather vague. Please elaborate with the circumstances. Was it a matter of putting your luggage outside your room the night before, then never seeing it again? Did Carnival state whether or not they actually had your luggage?
