Sciannameo admits she has been investigated by many. Why is that? In order to get officials to investigate, you must admit very strong proof. Why no arrests? Because it was deemed " civil theft= law suit, which i recovered  1/3

Why no arrests? the investigations are on-going, and a 1c3 report has been filed. That is cyber-theft. The use of interstate phonecalls( made by her to do the $$ transfers, and the usage of electronics to commit  grand theft from a senior= SENIOR ABUSE, and other up coming charges.

Yes, I have posted-in-anger. Would you not feel the same if someone stole a hugh life-saving's of your Mother.? I think yes.

Just so you know, Sciannameo, regardless of your threats towards me, there are reports of them with the Tampa Police, Temple Terrace Police, Gulfport Police, District Attorney's in Pineallas and Hillsborough County.

They are all familiar with you.

It is interesting to see that a stranger would follow this thread, but it is reassuring to note that someone who does not know me would see the obvious here on this site.

I thank you for posting as in the long run, when clients come to this site and see the number of responses, and the number of observations regarding the initial complainant, they may still opt to hire me to do work for them.

I think it helps that a total stranger too, has taken time and posted on my behalf. When a stranger posts, there is no investment in the protection of my character, nor can it be said that it is the "blue code" or "blue wall of silence" and that it is just a bunch of cops protecting another cop.

This has gone on in one way or another for approximately ten years.  When it first began, I would become startled and it would ruin my day and sometimes my week.  Now, when these things resurface, I take them in stride and realize that I cannot control what other people say or do, I can only know what is the truth.  Along the way, there were individuals (mostly newer friends in Florida) who doubted me, who questioned my background, some even said that the degrees on my wall in my office could have been made by me on a color printer.  Those things hurt my feelings when they initially occurred,  but helped me to weed out the people who would have ultimately not been the best of friends, and has left me knowing who my true friends really are.

In the early days, when I worked at a rather conservative college, I had to answer to alot of people in order to keep my job, as they did not want to call unnecessary attention to the college, but as more and more of the postings occurred, it became obvious that it is an apparent vendetta, and although it is annoying, it has become a story to tell, and a class to teach, and a lesson learned for all.

The truth is that I am who I am and have always been that same person.  Of course, as I have matured over the years, I am hoping that I am learning and changing for the better, but my core is still who I have always been.

As always, I too hope that the complainant can see her way clear to letting go, to moving on with her life, as this must consume much time that could be used in these her later years for more loving and retrospective things.

When I first read the * rantings * of this women I clearly felt she was disturbed. In all fairness , if this ladys malodys caused her to go into a mental illness of sorts then I truly hope she gets counseling.

Thank you for the candle for my father. 

We had dinner last night, my sister, brother in law and I at Francesco Centro Vasco, one of my very favorite restaurants in NY.  While we were walking to the restaurant (after spending the day at the hospital with my dad), attempting to go to St. John's and finding it closed due to renovation, we saw the procession for the blessing of the Palms for today's Palm Sunday celebration.

Seeing that parade, for the first time in my life, and I lived in NY for 44 years, makes me know that all the prayers from all of my friends and family, many of whom have posted that they are having masses said for my dad, are working.  He appears to be healing well, and hopefully we can have him home to make some Easter Sunday dinner for him.

This morning, however, I think I received a message from my mother (who is now gone).  I am sleeping at her home and in her bed, and when I plugged in my blackberry, mumbling under my breath about the fact that somehow, again my father misplaced my favorite cotton sheets, the blackberry made a sound and was fried.  I am now on my way to blackberry triage so that I can communicate again.

In all seriousness, I do very much appreciate all that everyone has been posting in this forum as well as all the emails and facebook messages of support for my dad, and for my current situation on this website. 

It is really nice to know that the Transit family and all those other friends and family that I have chosen along the way are so supportive.

Today at Mass I will light a candle for St. Michael, and St. Jude to watch over and protect you and your Father. If God sees fit he will recover and allow you to spend a few more years together. Take solice in the fact Carol, That you are believed and trusted.

I absolutely love that comment, about the wings in heaven.  As for wings in heaven, however, I will leave those to St. Michael who has protected fellow police officers and myself for the many years he has been held in high esteem for doing so. 

I happen to be up in NY now, as my father needed to have a second valve replaced in his heart, and while I am here, I plan (during this Lent and Easter Season) to make a trip to St. John's Cathedral up on 110th Street, as he the hospital is very close to there to say a prayer for him.  I believe this particular structure is strong enough not to fall down when I step inside, and this is my favorite Church in the world.

Although a recovering a Catholic, and now more of an agnostic with a strong Catholic foundation, (and a belief in reincarnation) I am hoping that in my next life I come back with just a little more common sense, so that I avoid individuals like this one!

You are correct, I select not to sue or further pursue this individual for many of the reasons that you have outlined and as others have stated in their numerous postings.

As I sit here in the kitchen of my father's home, now that my mother is gone and neither one of them is here with me, and I am without any of my dogs, I am finding solace in listening to my favorite radio station WBAI and hearing Jimmy Durante sing, "Start Each Day with a Song."

That is the attitude I will adhere to as I deal with the challenges I meet in life, including this one.

I thank you for your support, it means an awful lot to me, especially at a time when my dad is recovering and my family is hoping not to lose our dad.

My dad is the reason I am the honest person I am today.  He is a man who worked in a factory for 47 years, making paper boxes (he was a cutting and creasing pressman), he worked side jobs as a janitor at a local college, fixing cars, waxing cars, shining shoes and doing anything he could to make ends meet, making it possible for my mom (now passed on) to remain at home with us until my sister and I were old enough to both be in school, Catholic School. 

He instilled in us, the importance of good, hard and HONEST work.  He was proud when I became a police officer and in all the years I was serving, at each juncture when there was a time a thought came into my mind to do something unethical, I thought of how embarassing this would be to a man who holds ethics in such high esteem. This coupled with my own sense of doing the right thing, could not allow me to do be dishonest and all the things claimed by Ms. Howard.

When I said at the beginning of the last paragraph that my dad is the reason I am the honest person I am today, I did not mean to say that my mom had nothing to do with my character.  She was as ethical, honest and as hard working as my dad.  She worked up until the time she had the surgery that ultimately lead to her early death, while having dinner on the table each and every night and keeping everything in order.

My biological family of origin is honest, ethical and comes from solid roots, and I will not be the one to disgrace my family.   

In my business and in my life I strive to be the best person I can be, while remembering that as a person, I am a human being can make a mistake here and there, but I try to make an amend as soon as I can each and every time I am aware that I have done so.  Most people who know me, know this about me.

This entire experience of 10 years of defending my life has made me stronger and more dedicated to doing the right thing.  It helps me illustrate to my students how important it is to have an impeccible career, because in my case, with all of this public display, if there were anything not impeccible (and in this global format), we would all know it by now.

As for the April Daye posting that was redacted by this site (most probably because the photographs were a bit provocative), and was a link to photographs of her in the burlesque days back around the time of vaudeville, if you do a search using the name April Daye, you will find photos to follow the historical part of the biography.

She, herself has posted the article from 1971 that speaks to the art history, so the historical biography will become more comprehensive as this moves along.

Let me first qualify who I am so there is no question. I own and operate my own Private Investigative Agency and have been a licensed Private Investigator in the State of Florida for nine years. I have worked as an investigator for the better part of the last 15 years practicing in the financial, technology and legal areas of that industry. I have worked in the legal field for the better part of the past 10 years but have experience that stretches back as far as 20 years. I'm admired by many top attorneys who see my unique understanding of the law, how it is practiced and applied. I have initiated civil suits, argued and defended civil suits, been involved in criminal cases on both ends and successfully defended myself in serious criminal cases where facts were taken out of context or misrepresented in order to achieve some undisclosed goal. I've have worked with very high end lawyers in personal injury cases, and helped attorneys with complex criminal and cases. I myself have challenged my fellow private investigators even taking them to civil court for breaching core fundamentals of the license we hold. I have a higher understanding of the law, how it applies, how it is applied, how it is perceived, created and used today and that is evident by the numerous legal issues I have successfully argued and/or prepared for attorneys throughout the past several years. I'm also a consumer, and a logical one at that. And I do not support being taken advantage of as a consumer for any reason. I practice the belief standard that there are 4 sides to every story: Mine, yours, everyone else and the TRUTH!

I, also, have known Carol Sciannameo for about the past decade. I have worked with her, along side of her, for her and she has done the same for me. From this I can say with absolute certainty that she is, has and always will be of the utmost character and genuinely concerned with her customers, clients, friends and colleagues. I've been put on the hot spot many times because of her high standards and I have no problem in stating that I admire her for that because in this industry, there are too many sleezeballs and not enough who really take this job seriously. What I see here, based off my many years of being involved in the legal system, is an individual who believes she has been wronged, but not getting a proper forum where her belief is acknowledged and accepted. She has admittedly complained to everyone, probably including the president and the pope, and yet no one seems to want to listen to her, which should speak to the veracity of her complaints.

In the legal system, it's not always about the TRUTH and rather more about the perception created by the issue and the facts communicated which create the perception. It's really the cornerstone of how our current legal system really operates. So while this individual might be able to create a perception here of some malfeasance created by Carol and her company by providing a small part of the equation (some documents, some letters, business cards, and so on), the facts of the entire issue stand out and paint a much clearer picture. I've looked at this case on my own through my numerous allies at the various agencies involved and through credible sources of my own who share the same opinion and conclusion as I do in this matter.

What I do not agree with is how this individual has gone about this matter. She has not gained the support she needed in the consumer/civil/criminal side and apparently agreed to resolve all differences through legal channels BUT has since continued her assault against Carol and her company, apparently in violation/breach of her agreement. Regardless, it's been taken way past that by the statements made, the libel and slander and acts of false-light being made against Carol and her company. Regardless of what you as a consumer believe happened, there is a proper process to follow to gain what we like to call "justice" and well it appears this woman hasn't received the results SHE wanted when SHE followed the proper procedures to attempt to gain "justice" and now she is resorting to the ranting and complaining and whining that is going on here on this site.

Personally, and I try never to interject my personal opinions, but in this case it's relevant. Personally, the woman is crazy. And if not carefully resolved, she will become crazier and potentially could increase what she is doing to a potentially criminal level, which I think has already done in this case by her electronic means of stalking, slander and libel. Once her internal rage builds and the system continues to avoid her, ignore her and basically tell her she has no standing, she could potentially snap. If it were the ethnic side of me, I'd slap her with a civil injunction to cease and desist and then a criminal charge of electronic stalking for continuing in this course of behavior. I would even seek out a restraining order against her. But then again, honestly, the reasonable thing, the most logical thing to do is ignore her. Let her complain. Let her rant. If people want to question you, Carol, let them do it personally and professionally. I know the true measure of your credibility and am happy to stand with you if you need me to. Otherwise it's easy to see from the way this woman has attacked you that she has no credibility whatsoever. Just look at how she formats her complaints. Nothing is intelligible. All capital letters is a sign of anger, frustration and yelling - a loss of control. Her grammar is horrible which makes her an inefficient communicator and even worse, she cannot spell or use Spell-Check properly. She mixes personal and business matters that are not related to the core of her complaint.

I would let her continue to complain but without further comment. It only adds fuel to her ever-dissolving argument and makes her think she has some power of control over what is going on. If there is no fuel, there is no fire. She will abandon this course of action and seek out a new one, hopefully one that does not lead her down the wrong path

I was under the assumption that Cheryl Miranda died of cancer due to having worked as a printer and having overexposure to toxic dyes, at least that was the story I was told. 

If the followingrelates to her murder, the murder occurred in 2005 and her police report against me alleging false information was filed in 2001,. I am certain that the reason there were no arrests made of me as claimed by the complainant (due to the murder of Ms. Miranda) would have had no impact on this claim four years earlier.  Certainly it would not take the police 4 years to investigate an alleged car jacking.

Mother and son charged with 'brutal' murder of her l*****n lover

A mother and her 22-year-old son are on trial in America for the brutal murder of her l*****n lover. Prosecutors say Jabaris Miller felt neglected by his mother, Tonya, who was often out partying or with her l*****n lover. But when the girlfriend, Cheryl Miranda, eventually dumped his mother, Jabaris and Tonya Miller came up with a murder plan that led to the l*****n lover's death, Fulton prosecutor Clint Rucker said. "In a twisted kind of way, the murder brought them together," said Rucker, who is fighting to send the mother and son to prison for the rest of their lives. He said that the murder was one of the most brutal seen in his county for many years. Jabaris Miller and his mother opted not to testify during the two-week trial, which is expected to end today. Through their lawyers, both insist they liked the victim and had nothing to do with her death.

The victim, who had served as a soldier in Vietnam, told a friend on February 27, 2005, that she was going to drive Tonya and Jabaris Miller to Georgia on her way to Alabama, where she was going to start a new life.

Miranda was never heard from again. A Fulton County police officer spotted flames on March 4 near a park in Fulton County, and found the victim's charred body in the back of her vehicle. Miranda had been bound with a rope, strangled with a belt, stabbed in the jugular and beaten in the front and side of her head, suffering skull fractures in several places. Any one of those injuries could have caused her death. Prosecutors say cases involving this type of "overkill" usually stem from a personal rage against the victim by someone the victim knew intimately.

Tonya Miller and Jabaris, her only child, told police they didn't know what happened to the victim.

Mobile phone records showed that 33 calls where made on the victim's mobile telephone to friends and family of the Millers within two days of the victim's disappearance, former Fulton County police homicide detective Glenn Kalish testified.

Mobile phone towers depicted a path of those calls from Florida to Georgia.

Rucker told jurors that the victim had previously gone to a court in Florida to get a protection order against Tonya Miller, who had threatened her.

But the two women reconciled for a while, until the victim finally called off their relationship, pawned Tonya Miller's belongings behind her back and changed the locks to the Tampa home they shared.

He told jurors the two women likely talked one last time in Tampa, with the victim agreeing to give Miller and her son a ride to Georgia.

But along the way, the women argued and the Millers ganged up on Miranda, killing her and putting her body in the back of her white pickup truck, he said.

Witnesses told police they saw Jabaris Miller, who had never owned a vehicle, driving a white pickup truck after the victim disappeared.

After police confronted him, Jabaris Miller confessed to driving the victim's body to a secluded area about half a mile from his mother's apartment and dousing the truck and body with petrol.

He told investigators he didn't think the victim would mind if he borrowed her truck because she wasn't around.

He said he noticed her body in the back of the truck under a tarp on March 3, 2005, but was scared to tell police. The next day, he torched the body and truck.

His lawyer, Wes Bryant, told jurors his client is guilty of arson and concealing a death but he insisted that prosecutors had not proven who killed Miranda or if she was killed in Fulton County or elsewhere.

Tonya Miller's lawyer, Gary Guichard, said her son made all of the phone calls on the victim's mobile phone and there is no proof his client even shared a ride with the victim and her son.

TAMPA Two patients in Tampa General Hospital's psychiatric unit hanged themselves with bedsheets last month two days apart, according to public records.

One was on a "suicide watch," a Hillsborough County medical examiner's report states.

Both were found too late.

The deaths marked the second time in a year that the hospital has come under scrutiny for its care of patients admitted for their own protection.

In July 2007, a man jumped to his death from the hospital's parking garage hours after his release from psychiatric care and his unsuccessful appeal to be readmitted.

Last month, a 44-year-old Tampa woman checked herself into the hospital, telling staffers she had been thinking about suicide, according to the medical examiner's report.

Three days later, on July 21 at 8:15 p.m., hospital workers discovered her hanging from a closet door. A Tampa police officer reported that the patient committed suicide between 15-minute security checks.

That day, police took a 28-year-old Lake Mary man to Tampa General for psychiatric care, holding him under Florida's Baker Act after he had been found wandering and knocking on doors. He was bipolar and schizophrenic and previously had attempted suicide, the medical examiner reported.

On July 23, at 4:45 p.m., a hospital worker found the man with a sheet around his neck and the other end on a door. Medical staff tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead the next day.

The St. Petersburg Times is withholding the names of the two patients.

TGH spokesman John Dunn would not answer questions about the latest incidents but said in a written statement that the hospital was reviewing its policies.

"While we are confident in our safety protocols and procedures, we are reviewing them to determine if there are other steps or policies that can be implemented that go beyond the existing standards to better detect, prevent or deter these types of events in the future," the statement read.

He said the hospital reported the deaths to state and federal regulatory agencies. Doctors have met with the patients' families, he said.

Final autopsy reports have not been completed, but the medical examiner described the preliminary cause of death as hanging.

According to Tampa General's Web site, the psychiatric unit has 22 beds and treats patients with a range of mental illnesses, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression and schizophrenia. Registered nurses and mental health technicians are on staff 24 hours a day. Patients see a psychiatrist daily.

Dr. Brian Keefe, Tampa General's director of psychiatric services, talked with the Times last year about the difficulty of managing suicidal patients.

"There has never been a tool published, a set of questions to ask, a blood test to run; there has never been an instrument or a tool to predict who will kill themselves and who wouldn't," he said.

His remarks followed the July 31, 2007, death of James Allen, 43, a mentally ill homeless man who jumped to his death from the fifth floor of the hospital's parking garage.

Allen had stayed in the psychiatric ward for six days before being released. He returned four hours later, saying he was so depressed he thought about jumping in front of a car. Doctors evaluated him again and released him with instructions to go to a mental health care center the next morning.

On Monday, Allen's father, John Allen, 77, of Albuquerque, reflected on the anniversary of his son's loss in light of the new deaths.

"It's not surprising at all considering what happened to our son," Allen said. "The system just failed him whatever the system's supposed to be."

It seems that the complainant would like to blame me for the death of a man who I found for his father,car jacking, con game and other incident, including harboring vicious pit bulls, that occurs anywhere in the Tampa Bay area.

Mrs Howard is well known in Tampa Bay for her volunteer work for over 10 years in dozens of nursing homes, the Va hospital, and churches.

 

Mrs Howard has donated many of her Fine Art Alter paintings to local churches, on both sides of Tampa Bay.

 

WE have viewed the police reports. It is a felony to file a false police report.

One of the most horrifying police reports is for  ARMED ASSAULT BY SCIANNAMEO

AGAINST C. MIRANDA, POLICE # 01-2250. Ms. Miranda was recently murdered, so no arrests were made.

 

WE have read, with much distain, many letters written to Mrs Howard by Carol Sciannameo, outlining repayment plans for the  money taken from her.

None of which were honored.

Mrs Howard had no recourse but to sue in " civil  court, ".

Because Mrs Howard was a resident in Gulfport, at this time, the Gulfport Police did( by  mis-judgement) deem the complains as " CIVIL'

This matter is still up for Judicial Review.

Mrs Howard does not stand alone .

We support her efforts to warn her fellow citizens. To educate them about the true nature of this person.

WE have been advised that Sciannameo's comments are " studied responses , historicial reactions of the guilty.

Using " no Comments"  " I'm to busy to bother with all this", and then writing long long

speeches, promoting herself and her company, using " Double-speak evasions"

 

This person, who  speaks of herself so highly, has indeed been investigated by many officials.  Some of which came at our group's requests.

As you well know by reading any  newspaper, justice comes slow.

I am Carol Sciannameo, and will not respond to the complainant in this case, however, she has posed a valid question, to which I will respond.  The question is if I were not guilty of embezzlement, why did I pay her $12,500.00? 

 If I were guilty of embezzlement I would have been criminally charged as that is a felony.  The $12,500.00 was a civil settlement, as can be seen in the document posted by the complainant and was paid as a "nuisance amount" to attempt to have her cease and desist in her litigious behavior. 

 The attorney who represented me at the time believed this was the best course of action.  Since that time, I have made acquaintaince with and work with attorneys who are colleagues, and most of them said that to pay that sum was the worst thing I could have done and that the attorney who advised me to do so did not give me the most prudent advice.

If this occurred now, instead of back in 2001-2003 a settlement would not have been paid.

The debate continues about regulation of the internet.  There are arguments on both sides.  The internet is like the old west was during the gold rush, it is as that was, the new frontier.  The globalization of the internet and the world creates jurisdictional concerns, and the arguments are pro and con for regulation.

Even though in this particular instance, it is my own reputation being questioned, I believe I have built a strong enough positive and ethical foundation to withstand these attacks, and if I were to cast a vote for freedom of speech on the internet, I would probably vote in favor of less regulation than more. 

I would, however, encourage extensive and thorough investigation of the facts prior to making any judgment calls on a person or firm's reputation.

I am Carol Sciannameo and I recognize the initial letter from the pro bono attorney retained by the complainant, and the letter contains the accusations that I am assuming are as stated by the complainant to her attorney. 

As this case was settled in civil court and both parties signed the settlement as a full and final settlement with no further recourse on either side, and precluded either side from speaking of the case or the settlement or further contacting one another at any time in the future, I can say nothing further with regard to this particular case.

I can, however, state that allegations are made and attorneys are hired every day for every type of case.  Attorneys write strong letters and make strong demands in the hope that trials do not occur due the expense and the time involved.  Cases are sometimes mediated.  At times attorneys take the high road and at other times attorneys take the low road, and make judgments prior to cases being heard before a court of law and a jury.  At times attorneys take what their clients say without having done further research to verify the facts and circumstances.

Without the ability to present all of the facts this evidence is misleading and can easily be taken out of context.

I have taken enough time addressing these issues and making rebuttals.  I have much more important things to do with my time than to waste it in this negative endeavor. 

This will be my last posting as this was settled in a court of law approximately eight (8) years ago.

      After reading the report on file with your company, I felt obligated to rebut this persons accusations. Mostly for the people who haven't met and don't know Carol, they might think this persons ranting have some bases in truth. For those of us who know Carol, we know these accusations are totally false and untrue, she is an honest and stand up person. This report it reads more like a personal attack and some sort of vendetta, this has been going on far too long. I've known Carol, for almost 30 years. We met and worked together as Transit Police officers, assigned to District 1. We both went on to become supervisors, in the Transit Police Department, before retiring with 20 + years of service with the same. Oh and way back then Jack Maple, was a Detective assigned to District 1. He was both a very colorful and motivating individual.He was a mentor, to many, as worked his way up through the ranks of the Transit Police Department and beyond into other Police Departments. It's a shame that the law hasn't caught up with our technology, it would put a stop these types of attacks and give the people who find themselves being attacked some legal recourse. 

I want to start off by thanking all the people who posted rebuttals on my behalf.  Some of you are police officers and am sorry that the adjective keystone has been used to describe you as this is not a word to use when speaking of individuals who have taken an oath to protect and serve and who have placed their lives on the line for many years to do so.

For those of you who do not know me I am Carol Sciannameo, the owner of Tampa Bay Investigations. TBI was not owned by me at the time of these allegations, and I had no affiliation with the agency until I purchased the name from a colleague circa 2004 when he decided to move into a different field of work.  The allegations this individual claims were circa 2001.  All issues were resolved in a civil suit, and signatures were obtained so that neither parties could bring the issues up again.

Many people have shared with me that they have been attempting to post rebuttals.  I encourage you to continue, although the website is not always up to par in terms of ease of use.  These rebuttals will help me as I can refer potential clients who find this site by placing my name in Google and who ask about the posting.  Clients referred can see that, through your validation, my career and character did exist and are in good standing.

If the link to the website the writer refers to in her posting ever emerges, and if there are bank accounts and other personal identifying information therein, I will see what recourse is available to me at that time, as the posting of this information will put me at grave risk of identity theft.

I cannot understand how this website allows persons to post lies and innuendos about any person with no recourse.

Not only is the original poster mentally ill (in my opinion), but this site allows her and those like her to ruin other people's lives.

I went to the site that this person says contains all of her proof (it is a site that anyone can put up anything they want-similar to this one) and no way to check any of the information posted.   This person's  site has been taken down and no longer exists.  I wonder why?

To the originator of this malicious nonsense, please seek a mental health advocate and get the proper help.  Your life would become much better.

I have the pleasure of knowing Carol , her family and friends for the past five years. In this time she has proven to be a valuable member of the Gulfport community- committed to conservation matters, local law enforcement issues, and lending a hand whenever asked to help promote local functions in Gulfport.  Carol has taught me a great deal about healthy eating and the benefits of vitamins. She lives a very holistic lifestyle that is to be admired. She exercises daily with her dogs and works out with a personal trainer to maintain good health and is a wonderful cook- although my eggplant is better!

I have met some of the officers that Carol worked with in New York and everyone speaks very highly of her. Many of these individuals traveled a great distance to see Carol when they found themselves in Florida. It didn't matter that West Palm Beach was 4 hours away from Gulfport- it was worth the time to see Carol.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Carol's past students. The young people that I met had admiration in their eyes and respect for their instructor.

In closing let me share with you why I titled this Carol Linguini- when I first met Carol I could not for the life of me pronounce her last name- so I gave her a new Italian last name easier for me to remember and say! Carol reminds me in every way possible of my family- dependable, always there when needed, honest, smart, full of love, just like a sister... in fact we call each other sister....

I have Known Carrol Sciannameo since 12/01/1980, when we were rookies in the NYC Transit Police Acadamy. In all the years I known Sciannameo I was never close to her. You wont find emails between us, nor did we spend ANYTIME together outside of work, we were acquaintances, not friends. I don't have her phone number & she doesn't have mine. All of this I would swear in court because I'm sure there will be a lawsuit at some later time.

All that said, In all my years knowing Carrol Sciannameo, I have always known her to be a exellent cop & supervisor. She had an impeccable reputation, was highly decorated & retired in good standings. I worked with her, I knew her as a supervisor & this is not the Carol Sciannameo I know. She was a highly motivated, highly decorated & knowledgeable Police Officer & Supervisor. I would like to know if this person who is slandering Sciannameo can speak with authority about her career in the NYC Transit Police & NY Police Dept. I know I can talk with authority about her from the Academy to her Retirement.

She worked, as I did at different times, for a man who ultimately changed Police Tactics throughout the Country.  These new Tactics led to the dramatic drops in crime in NYC Transit System, later the City of New York. He later became Police Commissioner of the NYPD, William Bratton. It was the Transit Police that started the COMSTAT system. It was the Transit Police that 1st changed their uniform & later the NYPD follow. It was Transit Police that gave its Officers 9MM pistols that the NYPD later did also. It was the NYC Transit Police Dept that implemented the Broken Window Theory of Policing that the NYPD later follow. No we did not JUST respond to minor crimes but we responded to ALL crimes & ALL Violations.

This person is an angry, jealous & a hateful individual. If it was me, I would open a Lawsuit for Slander. I'm sure for everyone of his/her witnesses, Sciannameo could have 100. Though Carol Sciannameo doesn't know it unitl she reads this, I would be one of them.

She served over 20 years in the NYC Transit Police and NYPD and was recognized by all who worked with her as an effective and tenacious officer and supervisor. She was respected by all of us and I would stand up for her anytime to anyone. As far as not knowing Jack Maple, she not only knew him and worked with him as a detective but was mentioned in his book in the first chapter. He loved her and respected her as I do.  What a bunch of nonsense.

I have worked for Carol Sciannameo for five years and she has proved to be extremely honest and timely with her salary payments and her personal debts; she goes beyond the call of duty to be fair with others. And is always available when a friend is in need.  That's my experience.  She has in the past attracted a number of wacko women.  

I am a friend of Carol Sciannameo and have known her for many years.  The complaint filed against her on this website is clearly the work of a person with a serious vendetta.   Since I know Carol's character, I know there is no possible way she is capable of conning anyone or ripping off anyone, let alone a vulnerable senior.  I believe the person who wrote this is being ruthless--and defeating his/her purpose by making wild and unsustainable, unsupported allegations. 

I have been an employee of Carol Sciannameo for almost four years. During this time I have seen Carol behave with the utmost professionalism and have been constantly reinforced to use respect, honesty and fairness in any dealing.

I find it amusing to read how Carol hacked into computers in 2001. Having worked with Carol, I know she was not computer savy at all until a year or two ago when she acquired instruction to learn more to better her business.

 

I have known Carol Sciannameo for almost thirty years, I know her to be a women of great integrity. SHe has worked hard to defend the public from criminal behavior. She is a valued member of the law enforcement community first with twenty years in New York Transit Police/NYPD where she was commended for honors in the field and in academic achievement, rising tothrough the ranks to Lieutenant. She has now for the last nine years been a member of the academic community teaching Criminal Justice in Central Florida. I believe these allegations are false and without evidence since no formal legal proceding have occured. It appears to be sour grapes by some disgruntled acquaintance.

   Carol is one of the most ethical people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. Lets set the reord straight her.

   yes, Carol is a crusader but only against crime and not just computer crimes. She doesn't like any crime. Hperbole manner you say. The word is hyperbolic. This person can't even use a word in the right context and she expects people to believe she is telling the truth.

   Yes, her class material is from textbooks. We call it a syllabus and a curiculum which every school in the nation happens to follow.

   This woman claims to have taken the course under another name but then she claims she is 73. Does anybody out there know of anybody that age that would want to become a cop or prison guard because I don't. She's going to do this while she's crippled too. PLEASE!

    I can only see one scumbucket in this and it isn't Carol Sciannameo. I don't know what world or planet this lady writing the falsehoods is from but where I come from everybody checks the resume and who the hell cares about how many domestic partnerships she has had? I sure as hell don't. I have had 4 husbands whats the point?

   The FBI Academy is not just a school and no not just anybody gets to go. This lady Howard claims to be an artist, funny I have been to many a museum and I have never heard of her and I do go to sidewalk art shows and all that.

   This lady has attacked the Pinellas County Sheriffs office, The District Attorney, The Gulfport Police, The gays, and everybody else for doing her wrong. Has it ever occurred to this lady that the police have a file on her too?

   This person claims to have all of these papers and she's going to post them on a new web site. Anybody that knows how to turn on a computer can build a web site and you don't have to be telling the truth so thats good for this wackjob.

   I am sure this person knows alot about filing false reports being against the law cause I can be 99% sure she does it all the time. She probably makes a living at false accusations? I wonder if anybody ran her name how many police reports and phony lawsuits would come up.

   Carol jealous of this lady's successes? Highly unlikely and carol doesn't pack a glock and she is not the only person who sits with their back to the wall facing windows and doors. You have to when there are nut cases like this lady out there in this world.

I started reading the allegations about Carol Sciannameo but had to stop. First off none of the nonsense is remotely true and the venomous personal comments and insults have no place here even if any minute allegation was true. Carol and I were promoted to Lieutenant together in 1994. I consider her a friend and I found her to be a true law enforcement professional. It's  shame that this diatribe from an obviously disturbed person is allowed to remain posted here with the possibility of ruining the reputation of a person that is to be admired for her many accomplishments. I have just read the report posted about Carol Sciannameo.  I do not believe any of the complaint made.  I also know that parts I can attest to are definitely lies.

I know Ms. Sciannameo for about 30 years.  She worked for me in the New York City Transit Police Department and the New York City Police Department.

Carol was an upstanding Police Officer, Detective, Sergeant and Lieutenant.  She attended the FBI academy.  

At a point in my career, Jack Maple worked for me also as a Detective and Sergeant.
Carol Sciannameo was a Detective who worked for Jack Maple.  I know for a fact that this is true.  I also know that Jack considered her one of his better subordinates.   The report in question is nothing but lies and I can attest to the above facts. 

It would stand that if a great many of the allegations in this report are lies that I can attest to, I cannot believe any of the other allegations made by this person.

It is definitely a shame that a person can write whatever they want even if it is untrue and the defamed person has to defend themselves.

This person writing these allegations should be ashamed of herself or in need of a mental health provider.

I represent the pack, I'm Beatrice Too. I am one of my mom Carol's supposed dogs that died to get away from her. I am named after Beatrice, her English bulldog who did pass away due to cancer.  Mom was so upset over the loss of that Beatrice that we try not to bring it up too often.  Let me assure you that Connie, and DA are correct, my mom would never hurt Juliette (the Diva), Josephine, Danny, Angelo, or Jacqueline diCujo.  We have our own dog park, we have our own kennel room, we eat the best food.  Aunt Olga babysits when mom is away.  One time I hear tell, this same woman reported my mom to the Pinellas County Animal Services, and told them that mom was harboring vicious pit bulls.  When the inspectors arrived Beatrice was sleeping on the sofa, Darla was sunning in the yard and Margie was in her usual position in the middle of the kennel room staring into space.  That Margie was not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she was loved.  All of them did as dogs do, and cross over the rainbow bridge at the ages that bulldogs do.  Mom has their ashes in her bedroom and in her will she has it written that their ashes and hers are to be spread in Montauk near the cliffs on the Beach, as will all of ours when we pass on.  As much as mom loves food, we often hear her say that if she had a choice of going to the fine dining section in heaven, or hang out with her dogs, she would choose us!

It is really a pity in today's society that angry, malicious individuals can attempt to ruin someones reputation and attempt to cost them and their business money by posting sensationalism and it all seems so easy.  I have known Carol for 4 years now and am always impressed at the professionalism that she uses with her clients as well as compassion for ones that are frantically looking for loved ones.  I have seen her listen to her clients for hours to calm them when they have very emotional dilemmas and no where else to turn.  I have always been impressed with Carol's problem solving skills in dealing with clients and see her as the best in the business. 

I also have property in the Gulfport area and I am quite certain that Carol has had nothing to do the the current housing market! These allegations are almost amusing.  The woman also goes on to say that Carol's dogs died to get away from her.  To this statement I can hardly contain myself.  PLEASE!!!  If I have a choice to come back as a dog, PLEASE let me be one of Carol's dogs!

Well, now there is Shamu! LOL.  Carol is far from being close to the size of a whale.  She works out with weights three times a week and then walks 7 dogs the rest of the week.  I am sure that all of Gulfport would be talking if there was a whale size worman walking around with 7 dogs.  That would be the talk of the town!

I have been with Carol to two of her Transit Police Reunions and she has numerous friends that I met that have the deepest respect for Carol as their fellow officer.  From conversations and stories with these officer friends there is no doubt in my mind that she knew and worked with Jack Maple.  I heard numerous and amusing stories of the antics of Carol and Jack Maple.  I have read the book,  http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Crime-Fighter/Jack-Maple/e/9780767905541 and have read on page 2 a story of an arrest made by the decoy unit where Carol's full name is mentioned.

As for the "house arrest" that is stated in the posting.  House arrest is a term that police officer's use when they are home on sick leave.  When they are home they are required to remain at home and a supervisor can come to their home to check that they are there.  Carol is a consummate storyteller and in telling stories about her career she often jokingly used the term house arrest to describe being out on sick leave.  It is reprehensible that this joking term has been used against her to have it appear that she was under true house arrest.

Carol attended and graduated from the FBI National Academy.  To my knowledge this is not a community college that anyone can pay their tuition and attend. The people attending the Academy must be chosen and it is as honor to be selected. 

This worman has made numerous untrue and vindictive claims against Carol and I am also aware of others that she also defrauded.  It is very sad that our society has entertained these individuals that spend a lifetime victimizing innocent people on such sites as this.

The stated allegations in the original report are untrue. Public Records can be checked.  The NYPD does not run anyone off.  You resign or retire.  This can be checked.

It's unfortunate that people can make false statements to ruin reputations.  The bottom line is before you do anything, check the BBB, etc, and do your homework. 

I am a 14-year resident of Gulfport, and a neighbor of Ms. Sciannameo for the past 7 years.  I can assure all who read this that Ms. Sciannameo did not 'bring down' the housing market in Gulfport, or anywhere else for that matter.  I'm also fairly certain that she did not take out $450,000 worth of mortgages on her house, either.

David Fischer was mayor of St. Pete in 2001, not Rick Baker.  Gulfport and St. Petersburg are not the same city, each has it's own city government and police department.  Rick Baker was sworn in as mayor of St. Pete in early 2002, and the city of Gulfport has a staff of over 100, not 12.

Ms. Sciannameo does not weigh 300 lbs, nor did her dogs use 'dying' as a means to escape her.  Even her casual acquaintances know her to be overly fond of her dogs, and other animals for that matter, as she is a proud vegetarian.

The 'swishy guy' reference, homophobic at best, was referring to a gentleman whom I have also dealt with and I have nothing negative to say about him.  I have never heard of Ms. Howard in the 14 years I have lived here, nor do I know of any plans "the whole city of Gulfport agreed to run Howard out of town."  Wow.  I didn't get the flier for that.

I would hire Ms. Sciannameo, and Tampa Bay Investigations, for any investigative work I may need done in the future.  It is sad that anyone could get away with such malicious, vindictive harassment for all these years. 

I have read this recent renewal of an old complaint that was settled by virtue of a civil settlement circa 2003. In signing the settlement agreement, the complainant agreed to cease and desist in any further discussion or furtherance of the matter.  The complainant states that Tampa Bay Investigations perpetrated this alleged stealth against her, when Tampa Bay Investigations did not exist at the time and was not even in business until 2003 under the ownership of this writer.  All of the allegations made by this complainant allegedly occurred in 2001. 

 

The complainant stated after signing the settlement ending the civil trial that as long as she lived, she would cost me money.  I have, therefore, decided not to spend any more money or time attempting to defend myself against her.  She may have cost me money thus far, as potential clients may choose not to hire me once reading her postings.  Clients who I have lost under these circumstances cannot be measured in numbers, however, individuals who are so easily affected by negative sensationalism would not be ideal candidates to have as clients.

 

All of the allegations she has made have been thoroughly investigated by numerous police agencies, licensing agencies, boards of directors, organization directors and employers, and have no substance.  I often say that I am the most investigated person in Florida, as I have been reported by this individual to every possible agency and municipality, to no avail.  I often wonder how much unnecessary taxpayer money has been spent in these endeavors. With this being said, I would probably be the best person to hire, as if there were anything to discover about me, it would have been discovered already.

 

It has come to my attention that this individual has reported me to employers, systematically places liens on my home (renewing them each summer) stating that she is a contractor who did work on my home and that she was not paid for the work, and continues over the course of a ten year period to surface out of the blue and post derogatory and untrue statements about me, my business, my character, my appearance and just about everything she can think of on this site as well as to contact any affiliation she can detect with regard to my business, my personal affairs and my employment. 

 

In my opinion, this behavior is meant to victimize, terrorize, financially harm and otherwise negatively impact me and my business, but it does not.  I often feel compassion for her as I can see that she is in anguish and I can only wish that she can find peace in her life and move on, without her having to address these sudden, unpredictable and unwarranted resurfacings as I am certain this rehashing must be unsettling for her as evidenced by the tone of the postings. 

 

In defense of my character and reputation, I can say that I retired in good standing from the NYPD in the rank of Lieutanant.  I have gone on to open and run an ethical business and have furthered my education to a master's degree plus 18 additional credits, in order to continue teaching at the associates and bachelors levels.

 

I treat colleagues, friends and students with respect and dignity.

 

I am hoping that this individual can see her way clear to realize that this matter has already been adjudicated in a court of law and there is no beauty in casting continuous negative aspersions without substance.
