Where to begin.  I bought a 2002 F-150 X-Cab FX4 4X4 from Carousel 2.

While out on the test drive noticed that the check engine light was on and so was the air bag light.

When I mentioned the air bag light to the manager the said it was sposed to be on to show the air bag was working.

Needless to say he lost that argument. I got it in writing that they would fix the check engine light and the air bag light asap.

took the car home, drove it from fri eve to monday am, great running truck. did some checking on it found the error code. P1451,, Evap system eletrical error.

and when I shut the passenger air bag off with the key the light went out.

reported this when I took it in monday.

they were not ready when I dropped the truck off. gave me a loaner car. then they took the truck over to Carousel Nisson (parent company) to be fixed. was told they might have it done that day cause they didn't want the loader out overnight. well they didn't even get started on it til Tuesday am, replaced some parts in the evap system. then took it over to ford to fix the air bags.  Ford finally got my car at 1:30 PM tuesday. talked to ford, needs a sensor for the air bag, will be late Wensday for it to be done. they also fixed the wireing to the evap system that was tripping the light.

now I informed them I needed the truck for a job on Wensday, I won't have it, as I'm writing this note at 10 pm on tuesday night.

so we get to the heart of the matter,, who sells a used car they say is certified without inspecting it or even knowing the check engine  light and air bag light are on.

Alright, the first one was written when I was quite upset cause I didn't have the truck for a job when I needed it.

So it didn't clearly explain everything. The comment made "that's the way it's sposed to be" was made in the office, I'm not sure who said it. there as 4-5 other guys in there at that time and I wasn't looking at who was talking. There was no argument about getting  the lights fixed, just if that was the way it normally was with the commenter.

The manager agreed to fix it without argument. Once he knew of the issues he setup the time for the repairs.

All in all I'm pleased with the truck and service. At this point I've driven the truck 10K miles and it's performing at or above expectations.
