Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Where do I being.... We purchase a used minivan in October 2007 the dealer talked us into a warranty, which we thought at the time was great. Who wouldn't want extra protection on a used vehicle, right!

The coverage was fantastic on paper until we needed it when our transmission went in February. We called C.A.R.S. and they told us to bring it to a certified repair facility, which we did. When the owner of the facility saw that we had C.A.R.S. as a warranty service and he shook his head and said GOOD LUCK!!

At that point we knew we where in trouble. The facility had contacted C.A.R.S. and told them the transmission was shot. C.A.R.S. still made the mechanic do a tear down of the transmission and diagnose the problem costing an additional $250, and with the deductible $350. Which determined that the tranmission was still shot. I guess their mechanics 35 years of experience was not good enough for them.

C.A.R.S. determined that the cost of rebuilding the transmission was to high. So our 1st junkyard transmission shows up from down South, 3 weeks later. Just like a transmission from a junkyard should be, it was JUNK! It was worse then the one that they pulled out. After paying $260 the difference in labor, being that C.A.R.S. only covers $45.00/hour of a $80.00/hour labor rate.

Now we are back where we started minus $610.

After being talked to rudely and hung up on several times our ajuster said it was not cost effective to rebuild and that they would find and send yet ANOTHER junkyard transmission. Now 4 weeks into this we received another junkyard transmission and paid another $280 for labor. And guess what!!!! Their mechanic called to informs use that the 2nd transmission was also JUNK!

Finally our ajuster has allotted us $634 of a another $1,300. bill to rebuild the 2nd junkyard transmission. Putting our grand total at $1,276. which is more then our estimate of rebuilding the original transmission in the first place.

Now entering our 5th week without a vehicle we are hoping that this nightmare is over.... I just don't understand how a warranty company can operate so fraudulantly in todays day and age and NOBODY does anything about it.
