After finding a newspaper ad for Castle dental I called their call center. I was told that the exam and cleaning would be $29. And that the cleaning would be $50 because there was a coupon for an additional $50 off that I could go online and print out. I was also told by the call center representative that we would be able to get our teeth cleaned the same day. So I booked the appointment
On the day of our appointment, we were told that this particular location did not have a dental hygienist available. So we just got the exam and the x-rays done for $29 as they stated. They said they would still honor the online coupon when we came back to get her teeth cleaned. We did not know that we were going to have to wait almost 2 months before this location could get their act together to get a hygienist in their office.
The day finally comes when I can go get my teeth cleaned and I am told that it will cost me $97 for the teeth cleaning. I informed the lady that there was a coupon in our file that allowed a $50 discount. Her exact words were , "That is for any service over $100 ." So instead of charging me $100 for the teeth cleaning so that I could get the $50 discount they charged me $97 so that I could not use the $50 discount. This is false advertising. I did not get my teeth cleaned that day out of principle
No company should be allowed to run ads, tell you one thing from their call center, then tell you something completely different when you get into their office.
