Heather Kerns at Castletop Ragdoll Cattery contacted me to purchase a mink breeder kitten in 2005. She paid a $400 deposit toward the kitten. I allowed her to pay the deposit in installments, not paying the final payment until after the kitten was born. The kitten would be ready for release in October. Heather and I had friendly communication during this time.
In September 2005, our home was totally destroyed by Hurricane Rita. We live in Jasper, Texas which was directly in the path of the Hurricane. This was the most devasting thing that had ever happened to us. We have 6 children and we were suddenly without a home. My children lost all their clothes and belongings. Our cattery suffered. We lost several kittens, one of which was the kitten that was reserved for Heather Kerns.
Immediately after the Hurricane our family was living in a tent in the yard along with many other homeless families in our area. Our town had no electricity or running water for weeks.
I'm writing this because of the slanderous remarks that Heather Kerns has been spreading all over the internet. It's amazing to us (and many others) how she could be so cold hearted. While other catteries and friends were sending us care packages of food and supplies because there was no gas to leave the town, Heather was worried about her deposit.
As soon as I had electricity I found several emails from Heather Kerns. She was already getting upset because I had not responded to her emails. When we talked in January 06 she told me she didn't want her deposit back for the kitten, she wanted to wait for another kitten. I explained to her that my ragdolls had been through a big stress and I didn't know when we would have more kittens. She decided to wait.
We were displacd out of our home for 11 months. We finally got into a home again in July 06. During the first few months of 2006. Heather emailed several times changing her mind about wanting a kitten OR wanting the deposit back. I always agreed that I would refund the deposit if that's what she wanted. I was always very kind and honest with her.
In April, while our last agreement was to wait for a future mink kitten, I started getting hateful emails from Heather Kerns. She was ugly and used bad lanquage. She called me hateful and ungodly among other things. She acted very strange like she didn't remember our agreement. I still agreed to return her deposit if that's what she had decied on. She threatened me and blocked her email and wouldn't return my phone calls so I couldn't contact her in any way. I sent her deposit back as soon as I knew that's what she wanted. She had changed her mind so many times. After I refunded the deposit, I started finding slanderous comments and reports on various sites throughout the internet. Heather Kerns must have a lot of time on her hands to spend her days bad mouthing people that she doesn't even know. She posted things about me personally and about my cattery. Everything that Heather Kerns said is completely untrue. We have a small cattery and have never had any problems with anyone other than her.
She posted a lot of lies about me and my cattery on this website and then posted an update and tried to smooth it over a little. The fact is that Heather Kerns has been very dishonest regarding this matter. I was always willing to do whatever she wanted to close our agreement. She started accusing me of outrageous things and being a "rip off". She has no right to say these things. I returned her deposit like I told her I would.
The bottom line is that Heather Kerns had absolutely no consideration for the catasthophe that we went through. She accused us of using the Hurricane as an excuse. That is so unbelievable. We were without a home. We lived in a one room hotel room with 6 children for months. Many families in our area have still not recovered from that terrible storm. She has no idea what she's talking about unless she goes through it herself. Heather Kerns is accusing me but she did not follow the agreement that we had. I did exactly what we had agreed on. I was planning on giving her first choice of an upcoming litter until she changed her mind again and wanted her depsoit back. She expected me to put our business transaction above everything else, including my family and my children's welfare. All of the other customers that had deposits for kittens were very unerstanding and it all worked out well with them. Some of our past customers and breeder friends even sent care packages and drove to Jasper to check on us. All at the same time Heather Kerns was calling me ungodly and unfair.

She needs to report only things that she has proof of, or we could take futher action to resolve this matter. We have a reputable business and we do not deserve this unlawful and unethical treatment. Or make people feel sorry for them to get others on there side.Castletoppdolls is great.They work with people and the animal always comes first and that i love.They are honest and friendly.I have a cat from them its happy,healthy and friendly. Castletoppdols wouldnt hurt a fly. And has anyone out there noticed when u take up for your self then u become the bad guy. How unfair.Castletoppdolls has even refunded people there money and they still go to rip off. How evil of them.Shame on them. I will always buy from castletop. ITS not fair to slander people. PEOPLE GET JELOUS AND LIE AND TRY TO DETROY PEOPLES LIVLEY HOOD. I am a customer of Castletopdolls and seen this posting on Mrs. Kerns recently when I did a search on Ragdoll breeders reputations to find a good breeder. I found Heather Kerns and noticed she was reported by Brenda Hart of Raynehart cattery in TX. I had went ahead and purchased two ragdolls from Heather Kerns Of castletopdolls anyway because I already know about Brenda of Raynehart I was not shocked to see that Heather reported her first about a rip off because I have a friend in Texas just where Brenda lives and has her cattery who had problems with her as well. I know of what that Mrs. hart, Brenda of Raynehart cattery has done and continues doing. There is yet another complaint against her recently just in July 1008 If you type in Raynehart and do a search you will see the complaint is listed on this site or just do a search here on rip of report to bring it up. Sadly Heather Kerns reputation is being ruined for no good reason when Mrs. Hart continues to get away with ripping people off and Mrs. Kerns names continues to stay here year after year.

I am not a victim of Rainehart but I seen the report and went on my own and wrote what I know. I know Heather Kerns of Castletopdolls very well. She is and was in no way dishonest what so ever and is a very caring good person and has been taken for a ride from the liars in this cat buying/breeding business. I was aware of all the emails she sent Brenda and Brenda telling her she had no kittens at the end before Heather took action. If in any way she found out she did any harm she would gladly apologize to Mrs. Hart. Im not writing to create anger with Brenda but to say what I know about the breeder of Castletopdolls. If rainehrt felt she was slandered she should have known why and not tried to smooth her own story over!!! I am aware of both Heather and the other lady being taken advantage of. Brenda tried to keep not only Heather's 400 dollars but an even larger lump sum from victim number# 2. This was not about any weather disaster. perhaps it played a roll on Heather's experience with Brenda but there was more to it. Brenda always has something to say about why she is keeping someone's money, its either I have problems or I am not able to breed any cats. Well, then why is Brenda still breeding cats? she will only hurt herself. Brenda had nerve to come on here and try to make others cry for her hurricane when its baloney PURE baloney. It was a shame nobody said it wassn't the point goes deeper then this. Heather was not out to hurt the breeder of raynehart during her disaster plain and simple, she was just fed up with the bull crap that goes on in the breeding business and being treated unfair and being given the run around. There has also been some very nasty people trying to sabotage Heather's character and her wonderful hobby as a cat breeder but I am here to say its all false!!!! and gossip spreads on the net where its filled with the losers that can hid behind a computer and type up what ever they feel without proof.

Dear readers, I wrote an original post on my experience with Brenda of Raynehart cattery last year. It is listed on this website. This is my reply to her words written about me. I have been talking with a Woman several months on and off out of my state who has a large sum of money down for a cat with Raynehart and has been waiting over a year for a kitten. Brenda is giving her the same story she gave me 8- 9 months after her hurricane that she is unable to breed any females due to stress. I also found slander about Brenda back in June 05 that said she took a deposit and no cat was shipped. (Way before any hurricane) I have proof of the one woman speaking with me and I will not hesitate to phone the woman to see if she finally got her cat. I never once expected Brenda Hart to hand me over 400 dollars after her hurricane who would do that and why would anyone slander her after she had a disaster? Its because she has lied to me and gave excuses. I have been breeding for 5 years I would NEVER come on here and lie about someone. If I had made any false assumptions I wish Brenda would prove me wrong so we could end this. I have never slandered her in any way other then posting what I went through here. I am sorry she had a disaster I know it had a lot to do with what happened but nobody should tell lies on others to make there self look good and using a disaster to make others feel sorry for them by making someone look bad. I was indeed being ripped off, my mail was read and ignored for 8-9 months and I sent at least 9 emails. I had no idea that she was either back on her feet or still suffering. I had a right to ask what was going on, after all I went to her to purchase a breeding cat. She said my kitten died during the hurricane maybe this is true but I heard it was resold. I am not sure if it died or not. I decided to wait for another up until I had problems with my health I tried to still stick with her but I also was told by her she had no kittens available months later and there were kittens on her website just 5 days later. She then said her son found the mom giving birth and did not know it was pregnant. I had my own problems and wanted my deposit back she said I could have it back when she was on her feet. I had no idea why month after month I was ignored when I emailed her the emails were all read, One I remember was even deleted before being read. I could feel she was not being honest. Female cats will be large if due in 5 days and most breeders will check for pinking up. This was the most ridicules lie I have ever heard yet from her. I do not trust this woman what so ever. Having a disaster is one thing but lying is another. Do not allow this woman to use her disaster to put me down. I am a very honest breeder I work hard and I wont allow lies and slander. I am a good person I just cannot deal with people like this. Maybe Brenda is a good person too I don't know her but I know I was about to be ripped off and this was wrong and made her look bad to me. I hope she understands why I am upset with her. I have nothing against her but I just don't trust her.

I am a good person I just cannot deal with people like this. Maybe Brenda is a good person too I don't know her but I know I was about to be ripped off and this was wrong and made her look bad to me. I hope she understands why I am upset with her. I have nothing against her but I just don't trust her.
