Hello. That's how they answer the phone at "CBK International". Well thank goodness for Google and Ripoff Report, that's all I have to say. Because of these two LEGIT organizations my feelings about this so-called "company" was confirmed. As another Ripoff Report complainant wrote, when entering the office it reeked of stale cigarettes (for a perfume company? right!) and very LOUD pop music. How professional. The "receptionist" was one of the owner's wife who barely knew what was going on. And the owner, Ken, who conducted the initial interview was dressed in old jeans, a ratty shirt and...had few teeth! Great first impression. When I asked where the company was based out of, I was told Atlanta. The following day Bob Coffey (if that indeed is his real name) said it was based out of New York. How do you spell "Red Flag"?

I was told to come back for a second interview the following day and was informed it would take 3 hours. Fine. I'm used to long, intensive interviews. When I arrived the next day, there must have been about 18 of us in the waiting room. Interesting. Red Flag #2. Then the "this is what it takes to get rich" motivational speech started from Mr. Coffey. After two hours of this, we were then told only 10 of us were to be "selected" and 2 alternates would be graced to enter this "elite" group of salespeople. Of course, however, only after handing over a $20 "good faith" cash or check to be used for a credit check. In all my years of job/career interviewing I have never, ever, ever been charged a fee for a reference/credit check and that to me was the final BIG Red Flag.

All along I sensed, in my gut, there was something that just wasn't quite...right. And my gut has never let me down. Selling knock-off bottles of perfume to my family, friends and neighbors just isn't kosher, people. Although I am hard worker with high standards, I would never NEVER! sacrafice my integrity - and neither should you. At any price. Whatsmore, I think it's disgraceful to entice people who are unemployed and seeking serious work into a phony-baloney business. What's really so funny and ironic about all this is how they SWEAR this is not just another marketing scheme. Wow. Shame on you CBK!
