Like all of you i did a websearch FIRST. It brought me here. Thanks for all the info. My husband was already suspicious. It didnt want a set up fee from me, it says they will offset the standard membership fee of $200 by giving me 200 in credit with my first purchase over $500. Also give me another 100 in credit with any other purchases over 200 to offset the standard 99 annual fee. I never called to activate but the # to activate it is 1-800-277-7056 or 1-702-734-1212. I read the back of the paper and had already decided not to call anyhow when it says Auto Payment Service. THey want to auto take out yur payments from your checking account. So i didnt want that anyhow. Like the rest of you have NEVER heard of this company. I was just a bit curious on the merchandise but never found a website or any info on them except here. So wanted to put my input in as well. Maybe less people will get taken by this company the more of us that write in. Shawnna Mangum, Oklahoma

Rosalyn, Thanks you so much for for you comments and complaining. You have proably saved me so much time and even more money, that I don't have to spare. It is people like you that I consider one of Gods Angels on earth. I got this card yesterday, my husband has been laied off from work sence the first of December and we are so much in need of money. When I got this card and it said you could get cash, I was very much interested, And thought about using it right away. But it did sound too good to be true. So I always look on the internet when I get anything at all like this. And with out comments like your and others, and our family needing cash so bad. Well I just hate to think would kind of shape I would be in, in a few weeks. And now I see why those paper shredders with the credit card shredders are so handy now. William, I am almost positive you work for CCS. If not, you work for a company like it. I am so thankfull for people complining. It is a wonderfull action. Just reading the letter is not enought sometimes. I was realy going to activate it this morning until I read what Rosalyn and other people have said what has happend to them. But I have to say your comments have helped me too. Help me see the difference between your comments and Rosalyn. And lead me to belive her over you. Thanks so much.

Look William, you are either a middle age man who has nothing better to do than to sit in front of his computer and try to tell people what they are doing to a company who has more complaints than customers. You should focus your thoughts on why people are complaining and write a letter to the company and try to correct the problem. Dont preach to the people on how wal-mart this k-mart that, no one wants to hear your cry out to a company who's idiot owner has nothing better to do than to rip-off clients. A chimp could run the company of CCA, the only task the chimp would face is hitting FEE on the keyboard. Why dont YOU sit back and realize that CCA will go under because of its fraudulant practices expressed by the people on rip-off. William, people can only understand letters by companies who are legitimate. Do us all a favor William, dont be taken! Dont be an idiot! If you cant help it at least try!

Jeez o Pete's. This is almost like reading a story book of a kid who lost his dog. Okay, you make complaints, but how many of them are actually doing something. You complain about Wal-Mart, but you still go back. You complain about K-mart, but you still go back. Oh My Gosh!!!, You even complain about stores in the malls, but you still go back. Look, every company has their complaints, however it's only 1% of the customers CCA does have across the country who actually enjoy this membership. Most of them aren't even shopping through the catalogs, they're sitting back and letting the credit reporting help them out in the long run. Of course there is the $200 disc cert to offset the membership fee used for the first purchase over $500 and the $100 disc cert to offset the a/f (which is once a year) for the 2nd purchase over $200(offset every year). Those of you who have taken the time to read the urgent approval letter before calling and activating understand the program. It's your choice. Call and activate, or sit down, throw the letter away and shut up. Why complain about something you did not even call and activate. Is this all this country has grown to do? Complain about every little tiny thing that is sent to them by mail? Cry about everything offered to them? Jeez I hope every one's kids grow up to be more adult than that. You ridicule a company that was opened by one person with an idea that spanned out and is becomming bigger than expected. Let's see any of you open a company and not get a complaint here and there about something you did RIGHT and the customer feels you did wrong. We told you all about the fees. If you don;t agree there is no account. If you don't call there is no account. If you PAY ATTENTION to what you are doing and what is said, there virtually is NO problem. My advice, you taught how to do it in school, so start doing it now. READ BEFORE ACTING.

I received a card from this company / I started researching and the web page rip-off caught my eye. After reading the many stories of all the CCA customers I am glad that there is someone looking out for the little guy. I thank everyone who has made an opinion on this company, you have made it easier for me to shred the CCA card. They will not be taking advantage of me. Thank you RIP-OFF

First, I would like to ask... Do you work for them?? Secondly, trust me honey, if I said I waited for them for over an hour take my word for it. I did. And don't come trying to give me YOUR version of MY scenario. Let's all just learn from our lessons and do our research next time someone tries to offer us anything in the mail like that.... Last but not least, honey, I am a grown a*s woman if you read and fully understand what my last comment was, you would know where I was coming from. LIKE I SAID, I thought it was a scam.....how could I think something is a scam if I had not read it over!!!!!

okay even I can understand the frustration with waiting excessively on hold for a rep. But for over an hour. The autmated system will not allow you to wait over a half hour. Plus you get to hear music not ringing. And last this company has ofver thousands of customers accross the country. Do your selves a huge favor. Read the urgent approval letter and card holder agreement letter and you may see to send a letter to cancel. It is so much easier than to scream and waste your breath at a customer service operator knowing it is not the rep but the customer themselves who got into this situation on their own. It all breaks down to one thing. Did you read the letter yourself?

My husband signed up for the CCA credit card. I thought it was suspcious and I advised him not to send the 200.00 "activation fee", but of course, he did anyway. He ordered a couple of things from the place and they never showed up. I grew even more suspicious of the company so I called and i'm not kidding I had to let the phone ring for over an hour for someone to answer... When the lady finally answered I started to ask her simple questions about the company and she could not even answer them. I got so pissed of with her I told her to close the account, she said we had a 30 period to close the account and after that it has to remain open.... I probably gave her the tongue lashing of her life when she told me that garbage..... I eventually had to close my bank account and open another one.

In june 2002 i got the ccs to good to be true letter and card in the mail thinking it was a visa or mastercard with $6500 limit wow. Stupidly I called to activate my bogus card. The sales rep told me it would cost me a $199 on time fee to activate my card. When I asked is this a Visa or Mastercard she replied Visa. She mentioned nothing of a catalog. She then asked me if I wanted the benefits with the card I said no. I then stupidly gave her my checking account # to deduct the one time $199 fee. Two months later they took out $199 X 2, $99, $49 X 2 = $595. I tried to contact them and never got through. Recently they took another $199 x 2, $99, $49 X 3 = $644. I then went to my bank and changed my account #. Yesterday they sent me a bill for $644 due to pay for beneifits & membership fee. I said no to beneifits. I had never even used the card + its not a Visa. I never recieved a catalog. I finally got in contact with them to cancel & they said I had to send a letter stating cancel my membership. However the address they gave & on there envelope is a vacant bldg. according to the 8 witness news in Nevada rip off website. I hope no one is as stupid as me to get trapped with these pricks.
