We contracted C & D Flooring in moncks corner SC, ( Owner, Coel Dunlap Jr.) to lay ceramic tile in our large bathroom floor, around the tub and wrap our 4x6 shower in tile. We paid him almost $4,000 for labor because we supplied the tile.  1st problem was when the dark brown grout that i purchased turned an ashy grey color after drying, I asked Coel Dunlap why and he said he really didn't know but it could have been because of the stuff he added to the grout to resist mold and mildew must have
bleached it. Him being a specialty floor man wouldn't he have known that could cause that and warn me? But he didn't, then i started having a substance ooze from the wall tile that met at the bottom of the shower floor.

It started oozing all over around the bottom of the shower, I called him and he sent his guy out and the only thing he did was scrape it off where it had came out and squeezed some more stuff in. Well that didn't stick and more stuff started oozing out. I called Coel Dunlap @ C&D flooring agian, and he said he himself would come and take a look at it, but never did. I called him several times and left him several messages but never got a response.  So about 8 months later, the stuff had
stopped oozing out so I called another guy that does tile work and he looked at it and said the only thing he could do would be try and scrape what he can get and put a weatherproof silicone around  the shower but couldn't guarantee it would stay, because really the tile in the shower needed to come off and be redone.

Well about a week after he did that, the stuff started oozing again and pushing his silicone out, and then as time went on, i know have the thin set underneath the shower floor tile is coming thru the grout and slowly draingin in my drain causing the brush nickel drain to be covered in a white hard shell and the grout lines in the floor are all turning white looking, but the grout on the small raised area that the shower glass wall sits on is cracked and falling off.

I have little black worms coming into my shower, mold, mildew, white grout, grey grout, my drain has turned colors, gaps in between the tile where their is no grout and water is getting underneath the tile. Small little flying bugs are flying in shower, and its all because of the moisture under the tile and its only going to get worse.  I have to keep spraying tilex in the shower just to keep the mold at bay, because it's everywhere, its disgusting. No should have to pay that kind of money and
end of with what we have got.  This company lies, betrays, and will not stand behind their work at all.

From what i can tell in the pictures the tile work isnt great. But on the other hand, there is no proper air circulation. In the picture there is steam puddles under your better bench. Which means water is standing in your shower. Therfor it causes mold, grout discoloration, loose caulk in the corners, and tiles to fall off. There is soap scum around your drain in the picture, it is sits on the tile or grout it will discolor it. The bugs could be a mold issue, caused by moist damp areas in the pan, or behind tiles. That goes back to poor air circulation which can cause show damage. You probably should put a fan in the shower. And clean really good. ANY GOOD, tile installer can tell from the pictures that its more than the tile installation.
