All you had to do was check with another reseller or the manufacturer to see there was a mistake made. CDW admitted a mistake, you can't accept that? I understand there are companies that are involved with less than honest policies, however an honest mistake was made.

Bob,
If you read my post, you would have noticed that it states "which according to the product specifications on their website at that time, was to include the software and one license."
AFTER I complained, they advised they would update the website to clarify things which is when they added "media."
Unfortunately their web page is an active server (aspx) page, so it can't be found on an internet time machine website to where you could see what it looked like at the time.
So before you complain about people wasting time, perhaps you should read all the information because the only person who has wasted time at this point has been you with an absolutely irrelevant response.

Here is what it says on the CDW website:
PaperPort Professional - ( v. 14 ) - media
Mfg. Part: F309A-K13-14.0 | CDW Part: 2655482 | UNSPSC: 43232202
It clearly says media, the license to purchase the software is extra.
The customer should have called another reseller or the maker of Paperport and would have been told the same thing, this requires a license and media for purchase. This was a common practice in the software business however many companies allow the customer to download the media once the license key has been activated.
Complaints like this wastes time for all involved, except the enduser.
