I applied for a personal loan on line. I was called on 10-18 by David Baxter that I was approved for a secured loan of $5000. I was told I had to send $910 through moneygram on a red money gram form and the fee should be $14.16. The recipient of the money gram was Paula Goodall and the receiving country was CANADA and the city was DRUMHELLER. After receipt of the deposit $5000 would be deposited into my bank account the next day.

The next day I got a call from Stanley Denton saying there was a problem with my loan. The lenders insurance company would not approve it unless I made another deposid of $910. When I questioned him he got defensive and rude. I told him if he can not approve the loan then I would like my money back that day. Then he snickered and said did you read the contract. If you terminate it we do not have to refund your deposit til the lenders next billing cycle which is 11-24. With it being 10-20 I found it unusual that I could not be refunded on that billing cycle.

Now they have $910 of mine that I would be surprized if I even see it on 11-24. I am just so glad I did not send the second deposit that he was trying to get me to send that would guarantee me no other problems and the $5000 would be deposited in to my account. I was always sceptical about it but I did it because I thought it would help me at the time but it just made it worse. Because I too borrowed the money and now not only have my bills but have to pay back that money as well.

A very expensive lesson that readers on here can benefit from. You were wise not to send the second $910. Thanks for sharing so other readers on here will fall for the same scam. Borrowing money on line instead of in your local community is virtually always going to lead to lead to ripoff to the borrower.
