Cell Phone Repair Total Scamjob, d****e Lords Algonquin Illinois
here is a copy of the text from my YELP review:
Only reason I went with 1 star is because there was no option for ZERO STARS! This place is a total rip off. Quoted me a price, "completed" the repair and handed it back to me saying everything was OK, took my $164.30 and sent me on my way. Shame on me for not preforming a full test on the spot but later noticed that a portion of my touch screen (that was working fine before the repair) was inoperable. I called them and the woman on the phone told me "no problem, come back in and we will look at it" So upon a 2nd 70 round trip adventure, the guys there today tell me that the LCD "must have been damaged in the repair process" which is not their fault and not covered and an extra expense that they warned me about prior to repair. Of course when someone hands you a product that was in their repair shop, and tells you it is all good, and takes your money, one would expect it to be fully tested and not to be deceived into paying for it only to be forced to pay more the next day for something that was not wrong in the first place.
NEVER bring ANY of your electronics to these guys! EVER! Cheaper, faster and easier to just deal with options from your original retailer/carrier!
