My name is Austin and I worked for the Texas market of Cellular Sales.
It seems like there is a lot of mudslinging going on here, so I am going
to give my HONEST testimony of the company and my experience working
for Cellular Sales.
As far as the location/bad shifts/working in
stores that have low traffic, All of it is true. "Boy, I work at some of
the worst locations at our market. Why? Because I'm that good. I make
money no matter where I go..." Well Mark the Writer, if you don't have
anyone come in your store.. you can't make any money now can you? So you
are an idiot. As far as you saying "Because I'm that good" Its that
type of egotistical imagination that drove me crazy with the company.
You guys are all talk until your numbers are down.. and they will go
down once and a while.... thats sales.
But it is true, Cellular Sales
as a company has zero to none advertising, so the traffic in some
stores was pretty bad. As for the missing phone/equipment loss... It
happens to everyone that works there. If any of your costumers return
their phone, its up to you to sell it under three months or its your
paycheck. So what do you have to do? Sell hardworking people used and
abused phones that your former customers took back. They think they are
buying brand new phones there.... but they aren't.
Ty Rankin, the
share holder for the South Texas Market of Cellular Sales, is a sleeze
ball and everyone at that market knows it. I worked over 50 hours every
week. Always tried to keep my numbers up, always covering shifts... and
in ONE DAY made the company almost $700. I remember on month my
commission was over $5,000 in one month. Now, did I ever see any of that
money? Of course not. In our market, if you don't reach 20 activations
at the end of the month, they split your paycheck in half.... The
managers, Ty Rankin, Stephen Counts, and Tyson, look for every excuse to
take half your check into their six figure income. The think of smart
ways to take money out of paychecks... No matter how good you are.
If I
open a store and there are phones missing from inventory because a
sleezy sales deal went on the night before, then that phone also comes
out of my check. I am a United States Marine/Iraq vet. And I currently
serve at a Reserve Unit in Austin while I worked at Cellular Sales.
Well, one month when I could not get my shift covered so I could serve
at my unit the following weekend, I had no choice but to serve my
country and perform drill. I got a phone call saying that I will be
suspended for 10 days... I was punished because I had to serve my
country. There was nothing I could do. Ty and Stephen don't respect
Veterans. Period.
I was fired from the company by Ty Rankin, who
wasn't even man enough to tell me himself, he sent someone else to tell
me he didn't want me with the company anymore... They didn't even give
me a good reason why they let me go. I never got a last paycheck... I am
guessing the took that too. Over the course of my employment with them I
saw over 30 poeple leave the company. I only worked there for 5
months... Thats pretty sad. I am glad the company is now under
investigation. Any if anyone needs a testimony, I would be happy to
help.
