They circulate via telemarketing (phone) and online (email, advertisements). Once you sign up, your selected magazines become irrelevant and you will be added to numerous different niches (as a male, I was added to 8 cooking magazines and 5 pregnancy ones), WITHOUT your consent. And NEVER give them your credit card, you will have to cancel it as myself and many others have, in order to get them to stop charging it...total scam!

Unfortunatly, your story is sad but I'm sure true. However - you are not telling both sides of the story. What's not included in your report is the fact that you were given the list of magazines you would be recieving BEFORE you agreed to recieve them - therefore you agreed to recieve whatever is arriving. You make it sound as if Cenco sends whatever they want - but thats not true. Yes they are told to sell a list of magazines and if you agree to recieve those then you will recieve them. If you want to recieve different ones than what they offer its going to cost more because those magazine cost more to the company. When they call and offer a specified list it's because those are on special for that offer. They record your agreement on a tape system that you are free to review at any time. They do not have a cancellation policy - that is true. That is why the tape system exists - to prove that you agreed to recieve the magazines. Unfortunatly the fast talking is a sales tactic to get you to say yes - it's your job as a consumer to say no if you do not wish to participate. Cenco does their job and they do it well - they sell magazines. They don't use "unfair methods," they use "sales" methods. They talk fast - you should listen carefully. They avoid questions - you should ask again. Do your research before you buy. That's your job as a consumer. In today's day and age - naivete is no longer an excuse.
