Central Investigation of Finance CIF Phone scam - Threat of legal action for debt owed Somewhere, Florida
Today I received over 20 phone calls from Ryan Smith and Nick Constantine (manager) who were trying to get me to hang up and call them back @ 772-409-6501. They both with very think accents and when I asked a question they talked to each other in a foreign language then would talk to me again. I made them spell the name of the company and it took almost 5 mintues (I was recording the call) to spell Central Investigation of Finance.
They kept asking to talk to a different employee regarding a cash advance she defaulted on and there was legal action taking place tomorrow and only they could help her. They called and talked to the legal department who transferred the phone call back to me to record again.
They would not give any details or send anything in writing they just would get angry and tell me to have "jane" call them back.
When I googled Central Investigation of Finance it brought me here and I noticed that most of the posts were old so I decided to add mine to warn others that they are back in business. I called the authorities and have had their current number blocked from our switch board. They are very persistant.
