Cetergy Payment Recovery Services Dinged Credit Report Tuscaloosa Alabama
I purchased (4) items from individual sellers through Amazon.com. two of the products had been sold prior to recieving my payment, and payment was returned or never debited from my account. The other two items were received and everything "appeared" to be okay, until I started to receive collection notices (within a month of my purchases!) from Cetergy for payment due, with a collection fee of $25 per item INCLUDING the items that WERE NEVER RECEIVED and credited back to my account.
I contacted Amazon who could not help me and referred me back to Cetergy. Of course it sounded like I was talking to a 3rd world country, and the person on the other end of the line assured me that everything would be corrected on my account. I was so angry I returned ALL my items to AMAZON and my account was credited for the returns.
Shortly thereafter, I went to my local grocery store and tried to write a check. Guess who they use for verification services? CETERGY! My check was not approved much to my embarrassment. The repeat scenario happened to me again last night at a local department store. My credit has obviously been damaged and now I have to follow up with Creditors, the Bank, Amazon, Cetergy to get my credit cleared! What a WASTE of my time. Something needs to be done about a company like this!
