I had a bad feeling about them due to how much they seemed to be ignoring customers. Reps seem cocky, aloof and dis-engaged with customers; the store has no phone!!!

A clerk or rep came over to me to ask if he could assist as I was looking at cameras (don't know how I ended up being ripped off for a laptop when I went in looking at cameras) I did not have a computer at the time and a laptop must have caught my attention.  The computer was approx 450.00 to 500.00 and I paid 250.00 down which should suggest that I did not have far to go in retrieving.  

I listened to the strange policy of coming in to pay every 7 days or losing the cash and the merchandise which is what happened but not before my money was taken when instead of seven days later, I came back approx 10 to 12 days later as I had come down with something and figured since I had given them a good enough deposit etc. I was right, the second payment was accepted and 7 days later the 3rd.  When I came back to pick up the computer a day after the 4th of July, I was told they had put the merchandise back on the floor, by this time I had paid 400 bucks for the laptop and I got no cash bk nor merchandise.  Ironically I started back to school (1st semester at strayer U) and my class was law 100 class taught by an attorney who could not believe the little disclaimer I received regarding the CEX policy which was as unclear to him as it had been to me. It read like something totally separate of the 7 day lose it statement given verbally.  He, the professor made copies and I was used in class as an example-he said he would have taken the time to go to the store on my behalf but was just overtly busy and simply told me to file in small claims etc. (which i attempted and was given some incorporated book list that CEX was not listed in and told I could not file) which is a whole other story.

So here I am almost 2 years later without any justice in this matter. I had gone back to talk to them and the company being in the UK is a big issue. None of the reps care!!! the company should be taken to task for how people like myself are ripped off.  I would see their point had I gone in to lay away with 20 or thirty dollars and then came back 10 days later with 10 or 20 dollars but this was not the case!!!


Here's hoping I can one day get some satisfaction in this case...
