I have dealt a lot with my local CEX store, so I didn't have to think twice about buying from the website.

I can't believe how I have been treated as a customer since then.

First of all I emailed them several questions about a product, and it was an expensive product - 150 my order was in total - they did not reply to any of my emails. Despite they're ignorance, I placed my order as it was around xmas and I thought they must be busy.

The order came in two pieces - the first part was OK - arrived about 4-5 days after I ordered. The second part (the expensive part) arrived almost a week after that, but not to my door - to my local depot. THEY HADN'T EVEN PAID THE POSTAGE!

They had somehow got a Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day sticker on the package but hadnt even paid the postage. So I had to drive about 10 miles to my local depot and pay the 6.05 delivery for the item even though on the website there is a huge "FREE DELIVERY ON EVERYTHING" banner at the top of the home page.

This is only the beginning.

I paid 143 of the order with CEX vouchers (which I had obtained by trading my stuff in to the store); and rather than offer their own vouchers as a payment method; you have to pay cash, then post your vouchers to them. After that they supposedly refund you the value of your vouchers.

That was ok - I thought ok I have had good experience with them before it will be fine.

I waited a few days for the money to come into my account, and there was no sign of it. It has been at least a week now since they received my vouchers, and there is still no sign of it.

I have emailed them more than 5 times, and have not received a single response.

I am appalled by the service I have received from these crooks.

Also, when I collected my item (it was a BOXED PSP 3000), I was disgusted to find that their opinion of "Boxed" was the console thrown into its crumpled and dented old box with the charger and instruction manual. No inner tray or any accessories. It didnt even have the game which was shown as included on the box...

I will NEVER buy from the CeX website again.

Although I have to say - I was talking to a guy in my local CeX store about this, and he says they are practically 2 different companies. Each store is franchisee run - so don't hesitate to buy from the stores as I have had very good experience with my local one (Lisburn, Northern Ireland). But please - think looooong and hard before you even think about thinking about buying anything from the website.

I will post here if they refund the money (and money for postage) I am owed.
