Champion Homes Delayed project and cost me $1000's and put me in a bind because of delays. Weiser Idaho
I have tried multiple times to work through the delays with both Factory Homes Outlet and Champion Homes. There have been several emails and phone calls. Every time I speak with someone they tell me there is nothing they can do. They won't give me a free upgrade a discount and really not even an apology. They tell me that is how construction goes.
I started working in construction when I was in high school and I know that it is very possible to call the state and county offices to get timeline information. I have done it with Jefferson County on this project.

Below is a copy of an email I sent to the General Manager in Troy. I have not heard a response after our phone conversation and this email. I also sent this to the General manager in the Weiser plant
It is very sad to me that a publicly owned company can get away with so much. I don't want to stand ideally by and allow a huge corporation take advantage of people.
I hope there is something you can publish that will help me and if not me other that may work with Champion homes.
I am very disappointed in the service I have received from this company. There seems to be no regard for taking care of your customers and keeping deadlines. It saddens me that a company of this size would take advantage of an individual.
This is the second time that Champion homes had delayed the progress of my project and in turn cost me thousands of dollars. The first time my blueprints were 6 weeks past the original date I was promised. This caused my excavator to have to pull off the project, because I was not able to get my building permit. This ended up costing me a remobilization fee, and because excavating was not able to be completed I was not able to get my $10,000 retainer fee back for my grading permit. This caused me to have to get a second loan to cover those costs.
Champion Homes is once again delaying my project. I have been told since the beginning of the process that homes take 4-6 weeks to complete before they are ready for delivery. After seven weeks I was told that my new home would be ready to come off line on October 2nd. The last update was September 30th assuring me that was still the plan. I based the closing date of the sale of my current home on that conversation. I am now under contract and legally bound to close on the 29th of October. I found out on October 3rd that the home will not be ready to come offline until the 15th of October and this date is not guaranteed. This delay will now cost me $150.00 per day if I am not moved out of my current house as a breach of contract. If I honor the contract I am stuck with moving the things twice, renting a storage facility, and trying to find a place for me and my two children to stay until the new home can be delivered and set.
If I had been given the proper information, and not given false promises, none of this would have happened and would not be an issue at this time. I would have made different decisions and scheduled my contractors accordingly.
I am disappointed that large corporations find it so easy to take advantage of the common person, and have no respect for a person’s time or money. Phone conversations I have had with Factory Home and Champion Homes have not shown any effort to resolve either one of these issues. It appears that the large companies don’t care about the financial strain and extra work they have caused me. No offer to hurry the project has been made, no discount on the cost of the home because of the delay has been proposed. It seems that the customer is supposed to eat all costs and time because of the inadequacies of Campion Homes.
I sincerely hope that I am amongst few that have had problems like this with your company and you will do something to better the situation.
