Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company sells distance learning study guides with CDs or cassettes. I unfortunately decided to do business with them because of some very talented salespeople who sweettalk you about how much money you're going to make once you buy their products and graduate from college. What they DON'T tell you is that they are making you sign a binding contract, and if you can't afford to pay for their products, they will sue you, freeze all of your assets, garnish your wages, and ruin your credit by making negative credit reports on you to the credit reporting agencies.

They took advantage of me when I was desperate to get a better job. I am a single mother with three small kids and I had a crappy job, just barely able to put food on the table. They garnished my wages, taking 10% of my pay every week for the past year. They froze all of my bank accounts, costing me hundreds of dollars in returned check fees. I still can't get any money out of my bank accounts, even though I paid them off. Also, they doubled the amount I owed them for "collection costs." Do yourself a favor and stay FAR Away from this company.

I would like to take a moment and respond the above claim.  I am the General Manager for Chancellor's Learning Systems, Inc. and the claim that we "froze" all her assets and continue to "freeze" her assets even though they claim they have paid for their contract is false.

When a customer signs a contract to purchase our products, they are signing a financing agreement that binds them to make their payments.  As with all financing, if you do not make your payments you open yourself up to have a judement filed against you.  This is the last thing we want to see happen to our customers.  We try our hardest to work with the customers and make payment arrangements where appropriate.  This customer, obviously, didn't try to work with us.

I would very much like to find out who this person is so that I can verify their claim.  It's very easy to hide behind a username and make all kinds of wild accusations.   If in fact she has made all her payments, she is more than welcome to all the product she has paid for.

If this customer would like to contact me directly and work this out, I would welcome the call.

Also, please check out our A rating with the Better Business Bureau.
