The same people own the Nissan dealership up the road, and soon they will own several more dealerships on US 1. This means the same dishonest, greedy, scumbags will be selling you the public just about every make. Even more employees and consumers to drain, whoopie! I have a few tips for customers of both stores. Dont bother asking about the price of a used vehicle or how it was aquired, lead the sale by looking at the red sticker on the windshield. you will see the stock number on the top. Example: 8433P , the P means the vehicle was purchased. 8433A: The A means the vehicle was traded. The price is there too but most of you dont know how to read it. Look at the series of numbers on the bottom. Example 4521598, subtract the first two numbers and the last two numbers to get the price. In this case it costs 21,500.00. This works for used vehicles only of course. Be wary of big pink sale tags too. You can really turn the place on its head when you discover the asking price on the red sticker is actually lower than the sale price. Ive seen this several times. Another thing that happens often is the sale tag will grow hands and feet, take itself off the mirror and scurry under the seat or wedge itself between them. That would be when the sale price is a good one most times. Customers should also compare the asking price of a used car to that of a new one. A good example to mention are the Dodge Charger SE used vehicles. Most I saw were selling used for 21,900.00, a new one can be had for a bit over 22,000.00. Why not finance another thousand for the new one? You can bet that a 2007 Dodge charger SE with a 2.7 liter and 18000 miles on it wont get you anywhere near that much if you are selling it yourself. Dont like the used cars at Charlies? Head over to Nissan, just turn left out of the parking lot and youll be there in no time. Those used cars belong to the same people, you will sometimes be told your salesman is going to a "storage lott", he is going to Nissan. Have a complaint? You will be introduced to a "floor manager", this is another salesman helping a co worker out. A trainee on the floor for the first day can be a floor manager. Dont think asking for a sales manager will get you anywhere either. You might end up with the co owner and discover you were better off with the floor manager. With luck youll get a sales manager who might be helpfull. Most complaints about salesmen however are really things that are the owners fault, customers just assume the salesman is at fault because thats the only person they have spoken to. Calling ahead about getting a good deal on a Nitro or a Caliber? Told to come on in? Know in advance that both models are pre discounted by Dodge and that you can expect to pay the listed price. The salesmen working there really arent demons. The real works are with the sales managers and finance. The salesman is trying to eek out a living while working for two greedy scumbags who make all of the real money. Any problems you have are at fault of the owners, keep that in mind. I liked my co workers, they were the only people I had time to talk to anyway. I can only assume that the owners wanted to let another one go and that someone thought they could garner some job security by helping drum up some BS. They probably knew Id be a pain in the but about my stolen 599.00 and needed to make me look bad. The most insulting thing about the claims made against me and the way I was let go was that no one ever bothered to see how I was doing, or gave me any indication that a single good word was put in for me while I was being dragged through the mud. By now I assume the talk about me would probably include international arms sales to war torn African nations, several mass murders, and dead bodies in the basement I dont have attached to my dwelling. I bought a job for 599.00 and the greedy bastards didnt deliver, whats wrong with this country when employers can charge people to work and change their minds about the rules of refund whenever they feel like it? Why are tax payers paying the Sheriffs dept to serve and protect con artists and frauds while many times not being represented equally? They were standing right there when I was denied my money, they never once threatened to arrest the only real criminals in the room. I have a good idea, business owners alone should pay the police all by themselves unless the police want to start working for everyone.
