Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I'm sorry to see that I'm not the only person who's had to deal with bad business practices at the hands of Charter Cable. My nightmare began Nov. 2008 when I set appointment after appointment with Charter Cable to have internet access connected at my new home. I missed work on every occasion only to have the techs call to say they couldn't get in the gate, they needed an access code. I explained each time that I do NOT live in a gated community and once again gave them the correct address only to be told that 'they know where they're at and if I want them to do the installation I better get them inside the gate." I DON'T LIVE IN A GATED COMMUNITY. YOU'RE AT THE WRONG ADDRESS.

On the fourth try after talking with a local tech who was installing next door I finally got internet with Charter. I'd taken advantage of a promotional offer for $24.99 + tax, etc. A monthly total of $33.65 And have wished to God I never had.

The first bill I received was for service beginning Dec. 11, 2008 and was for $33.65 which I paid in full. The following bill was for $78.82 for Jan. 11 - Feb. 10, 2009 and the next was for over a hundered dollars!

Like others before me, I tried multiple times to sort it out through customer service via the number on the bill. The first call I couldn't reach anyone who spoke decent English, the second one I was LAUGHED at, the third I was HUNG up on twice in none of them could I reach a single supervisor at any point. If this is Charter Cables idea of customer service I can assure them it's no laughing matter.

Charter Cable can spend millions on advertising but it won't mean squat in the longrun if they don't take better care of their customers once they get them.

I am currently researching other options which is how I came across this site. As soon as I've done my due diligence on other companies I'll disconnect Charter and they'll never have another shot at me I've enough stress in my life without their unscrupulous business practices.

I realize this is a bit disjointed but I just get so frustrated and upset when I think about the huge hassle this has been and how upset it's made me every time I've tried to deal with it.

My advice is to just stay away from Charter Cable. They aren't good people to do business with.
