I think your getting a little worked up over something the individual chase employee has no control over. 1st of all you know as well as anyone, if you call microsoft and demand to speak to Bill Gates, your going to get someone else. There's no way your speaking to him. So the so called" Higher Ups" are no diff. here. 2nd intereste rate reductions are given strictly on credit score basis, its not chase telling you no for, no reason, its your credit worthiness. CNN money magazine, sept. 2007---" if your credit score is 720 or above, then call your CC companies and ask for a lower rate, if you get them below 10% then your good". This is sound advice from a highly recognized financial mag. If its not above 720 then you prob. will have to deal. But my suggestion is not cancel it, because old credit looks good and it would be more of a hurt on your over all score to get rid of it.
