Dec of 2008 I was laid off. April 2009 I went to my local Chase Bank. Chase is my mortgage holder.
I told them that I was out of work and asked what help they could give me with my mortgage.
I was told about refinancing or loan modification.
I did not qualify for refinancing but was told I do quilify for load modification.I was told how to apply and I did that
August 2009 I still did not hear from them so I called. For some reason they gave me the collection department to talk to. When this women answered the phone she seem to have a attiude problem right off the bat.
I asked her about my application. She started to act on the defensive side. Started to ask me questions, Like how am I paying my mortage. I said I was on unemployment.
After she states I do not qualify. I just blew up and made statements to her like I went to the bank and was told I do quilify.
I am still out of work and this bank has played a game for four months when they had all the information in front of them from the begining.
There is no other help I can get from this bank. I guess they will waite until I can not pay and they get another house.

Sorry to hear about chase bank doing that to you. Bank of America did the same thing to me - Bait and Switch. They lured me in - oh, you qualify to apply for the loan modification. Took 6 months of calling them and sending them info, and then they denied it. Now I am selling my house. Because, I did not escrow and now they are making me escrow so won't be able to afford monthly house payment. They said that I had to escrow now because something about some late payments, but they sent one of my payments back to me and the next one they delayed 2 weeks before posting it. I think they want us to go under and even accused them of this once. But they assured me that it wasn't a "conspiracy" which was their word not mine. The federal gov't was supposed to help homeowner's but all they have done is help the banks. It's a big shame and Ripoff!!!
