Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We receive supplemental income from social security because of our son's disability. For ten months we have been cashing our check at the chase bank. Today the "New Assistant Manager" Elton Koch decides that we need to open another account in our son's name and prove we are spending the money on our son's behalf!!!! He refused to cash our check.

I went to another bank down the road who immediately cashed the check and said Elton Koch was still a little wet behind the ears and didn't know what he was talking about.

I returned later to the bank and spoke with Elton (he looks like the Gerber baby with a ton of moose in his hair) who said he was right in his decision. I informed him of my experience with the Choctaw branch when he blew a gasket, started yelling and demanded the name of the employee I spoke with.

I then filed a complaint against Elton with Chase and the duty manager agreed with me that he was in fact wrong in his assumption. My point here is that an immature snotnose kid given a management position caused me and my family a lot of time and worry about cashing a government check.

Assistant Manager Elton Koch is incompetent, immature, looks like the gerber baby, runs the slowest bank I have ever been to and makes BAD decisions. I can't wait to see where this complaint leads us and will be sure to follow up!

Sales and operations and never the twain shall meet.

This kind of thing happens all the time and it is infuriating.  Sometimes management is promoted based on their sales performance without having extensive knowledge of the operations side of banking.

Kudos to you for bringing this person's ineptitude to the attention of his superiors.   Hopefully he will be trained fully in the policies and procedures of Chase and other customers will not have such a difficult experience.

Good Luck in the future!
