Essentially, we have fallen victim to a bait and switch scheme perpetrated by Chris Huffman.  A prospective customer of ours (and unknown to us at the time associate of Mr. Huffman) created a demand for a product that Mr. Huffman supplies.  The customer demanded photos of the product before committing to purchase while Mr. Huffman gave us an explanation as to why this was not possible.  We verbally agreed to send half of the money for this order prior to receiving the parcel and then the other half upon inspection so we could take photos and ourselves and reassure our customer plus satisfy Chris.  We have being doing business on a much smaller scale with Mr. Huffman for some time and were not leery in going this route.

On receiving the package we noticed not only was the count completely off, but the material was not what was ordered nor as described.  The contents had obvious age, were discolored, and most certainly not viable.  To the best of our knowledge and in our experience with this transaction, we have to assume this package is not adequate for sale.

Regardless, after sending the payment and receiving the product, our “customer” refused to supply us with an address of which to ship or establish any form of identification, eventually backing out of the transaction for no apparent reason.  At this point Mr. Huffman started in on the phone calls, demanding his cash, and then threatening the safety of myself and my family.  We have saved voicemails which may be possible to transcribe to an audio file if needed.

We were advised to file a dispute with PayPal and then to send this parcel back immediately.  Through a verbal agreement and in wanting to trust Chris enough to get our money back, we closed the opened dispute in agreement that Chris would provide us with a refund after receiving the package.  We went ahead and sent the parcel back to the address where the product was shipped from and received a phone call this morning from FedEx that this address does not exist.  Calls to Mr. Huffman have gone unanswered.

After 60 days of back and forth with Chris via Paypal and after an equal amount of time gathering information about him, it has become apparent that Chris Huffman has been ripping people off for some time.  Perhaps years.  Typically it's for Kratom but has also been other ethnobotanical products.

According to many, he typically spend weeks or months establishing trust and then will make an attempt at passing off bad product after collecting a large payment and/or then bullying or making threats to the victim of his theft.

Our advice if you should happen across this slow speaking rip off artist is to back away slowly and politely.
