Well, where should I begin? here it is over 2 years later and alot has happened and nothing has happened. I had no choice but to go with the insurance company because I could not afford my own lawyer. We had agreed to the rediculous amount they were asking for. That decision was up to the insurance company so we really had no say in the matter but we did require that they remove all of their trees and branches that overhang onto our property. They said no and forced us all to give depositions. That was actually good because we saw how little proof they actually had and they really looked stupid. They made fools of themselves. I enjoyed that. After dep., they decided to cut their trees to get the money. That was a year ago and still no work has been done and no money paid out. They stalled and dragged it out as much as they could. They deliberatly put other human beings in danger. The trees keep breaking and dropping branches on top of us. Trees that have toppled over are being held up by other trees and are leaning in the direction of our home and property. I have never met anyone so vindictive and nasty in my life. the hold up was: they wanted the money first and they would cut the trees whenever they felt like doing it. Can you believe the GREED!!. They put my family in danger. All of this because I yelled at them! that's the worst we've ever done to them. Anyone would be angry over being sued by a neighbor who gave you permission to do what they are suing you for. Actually, Mr. Visconti is the one who gave us permission. Unknown to us at the time, he didn't have the athority. He just moved in to her house which is still in her ex's name. he has to do what she says or he is out on his a--. The house where she raised her family with another man. he sounds like a freeloader to me. have some dignity. Get your own house. You're a man. I think? Anyway, here is what is gonna happen: They are going to do the same thing that they sued us for doing just to get $20,000 from my insurance co. They won't get much of it after prokop takes his share. The lesson I learned is: Don't involve lawyers! it only makes it ugly. They had an estimate for $9,735.00 which we never saw. I also believe that they cut trees themselves and added them to the estimate. I have proof of it. This lawyer inflated it to 100,000 and started from there. But he doesn't have to live next to me. The Visconti's made a permanant enemy. I will never have any respect for them or show them any courtesy for as long as i live here. Note: I reported their disgusting mess of a yard to the town and they had to clean up all of the debris they have been dumping for years. What they call a natural setting is really just a dump with many violations. I am not the kind of neighbor who would do this, but they gave me no choice and I will do it again. And soon, because after all that, they started dumping back there again!! We do have a town dump, your supposed to bring your trash there.
