Complaint Review: Christine Mosher Visconti & Louis Visconti - Miller Place New York

Christine & Louis Visconti(Christine also goes by the last name Mosher) are Nasty, unreasonable and downright people who live at 2 Miller Court, Miller Place, NY. We live next to these people. They have a large, overgrown, unkempt piece of property. The only part they take care of is a small area around the house. The rest is left to grow out of control and is used to dump all their yard waste.

They have burried dead wood back there which is creating an insect problem and is also against the law.

There is numerous code violations on their property.

We installed a swimming pool in our backyard right next to the worst part of their property(it was the only place we could legalally put the pool). The trees from the Viscunti's side are growing over the pool and are also killing an ornamental tree that we have. We have been trimming these branches for years, but one day Christine saw us trimming and approached us in a very nasty way.

Louis was much nicer and more reasonable, he told us we could cut whatever was hanging over. The following winter, we proceeded to cut what was hanging over and indangering our property. 6 months later they are at my door yelling at us for tresspassing, which we did not do. We told them to go away if that is how they are going to speak to us. We tried mediation and begged them to let us cut the dangerous trees but they refused. What a waste of time that was. The next thing I know, we are being served with a lawsuit for 1 million dollars! They found an unethical lawyer and flat out lied about what happened and what we cut. My insurance company covered me thankfully.

Right before deposition, the piece of trash lawyer asks for $20,000. Of course the insurance co. will agree to it because it will cost more than that to defend us. So it turns out this was the plan the whole time. They could say whatever they want and never have to prove it. We will never get to tell our side and the facts don't seem to mean anything here. I think this is a scam and it is a disgusting thing to do to a neighbor. I don't understand it. The trees mean nothing to them, they just wanted to get back at us for having an argument with another neighbor who is their friend. Before that, they could care less if we cut any branches off their trees.

I have decided not to let them get away with it. I'm not agreeing with the settlement. I will take out loan to cover my legal costs. What they are doing is WRONG. They will now have to prove all their lies, which they can't, and who knows how long it will drag out. One thing is for sure, they now have to live next to someone who will never have any respect for them again and who despises them with passion.

Before this, I didn't even know their name and was a quiet neighbor. Now I have nothing but Hate for them for using the legal system for their own personal gain. I would never do anything like this. Now they can never dump in their backyard again, because I will call the town on everything I see. Even if they get anything from the lawsuit, they won't see it for a long time. They have generated a lot of hate with this and I hope they are prepared for the consequences. "What comes around, goes around".
