It's interesting what comes up 1st when you do a search for AUSTIN CANUM. I came across this post. Is this really a disgruntled ex employee or is there actually a shred of truth to there experience with him I was looking for a vehicle. I needed one at that very minute. I found a 96 GMC Jimmy on craigslist. I asked Austin Canum 1 question was the advertisement accurate? (Original owner all preventative maintenance was done w/ sevice records) He assured me it was and he is a man of his word. The car was immaculate. Because his "word" supposedly meant a lot I did not negotiate. He was selling it for an apparent friend when the ad clearly stated 1 owner. There were 2 names Austin Canum and Greg Siewert on every other form but never both. Greg wasn't even around and his was the only name on the pink. Was this even a legit deal? Aside from that he did appear to have all paper work so we proceeded with the transaction. All services had been done he reassured me again. Handed me a large folder packet of records. It turns out the records were for the invoice of the car and reciepts. No service records. 3 days later the front brake pads were worn so bad they broke lose and wedged between the calipers and the rotor locking up my front end on the 101. I get the car home to start maintenance. I jack the car up and what do I see? A crack the size of Austins fat jarhead on the tranny that these idiots fixed with plumbers caulk. Guess what this thing will empty 5 quarts of oil in 5 minutes flat.

Facts: *This company has a very high success rate of satisfied clients. *This company has been around for over five years. *The person reporting Negatively about the company worked for the company for five days. She was NOT a client nor was she ever taught how we actually do what we do. She did a great interview but her personality changed upon actually starting the job. When she was reprimanded for not following company procedure, on the 5th day, she decided to quit, and became very angry. Her pride was hurt. Hence the report she wrote. Despite the embarrassment of seeing this report, knowing what is REALLY going on, and from an inside look, her claims are actually very comical. *Mr. Canum is NOT a con and for someone to get away with saying that publically about another person with no facts to back it up, should be unethical and illegal in itself. *Starting in January 2007, Clientele of this company receives a telephone call from the staff, every 30-45 days. This is also written in the 12 month service agreement. *Mr. Miranda was removed from the corporation in 2006 by the board of directors for unethical business practices. So how or why he has anything to do with the company after 2006, I have no idea... *There are a number of things that this company does that a consumer can in fact do for themselves. However, most people are not experts in this field. That is why we hire mechanics, attorneys, accountants, loan brokers, etc... We may be able to do all these things ourselves and more. However, hiring a third party to work for you in any of the above mentioned fields of expertise is usually a good idea.
