I received my credit card statement and had an unauthorized $79.95 charge. I called the number, sat on hold for 20 minutes, but did finally get Tom. He told me that 2 years ago, I signed up for a free credit report and also signed up to have my credit report monitored.
I told him that I did sign up for a credit report, but had checked "No Thanks" when asked about the credit monitoring fee. (Why would anyone in their right mind pay $80.00 to monitor a credit report? That is my job).
He verified some information and told me that my subscription had been cancelled and that my credit card would be refunded in 7-10 days. We'll see!!!!
