Cic Credit Monitor Users Beware! The "free credit report" is any thing but FREE I just found a charge on my statement for 79.95 consumer fraud rip-off Internet
I took this company up on thier FREE offer for a credit report. It was offered as a promotion for credit monitoring service which they said would also be free for thirty days. My card would NOT be charged until after this trial period.
I just received my statement and there is a charge for 79.95 from this company dated 3-24. That is about a week after I visited thier web site. I never agreed to purchase anything from them.
The advertised rate for this service was only 29.95 I believe. The second issue is that they are supposed to let you know if your credit report is looked at by anyone. This also doesn't happen. I just refinanced my car loan and they haven't notified me of the credit check.
So, not only was I over charged for something I didn't buy in the first place, they don't even provide the service they said they do. I will do everything in my power to get evry dime back and to let as many people as I can be made aware.
