Contract was up on July 15, 2004. Had number ported to NexTel on July 16, 2004. Received bill from Cingular on July 19, 2004. It was for the billing cycle of 07-09-04 thru 08-08-04. I called to ask why I'm being charged for a service I no longer have. Was told "That's the way it works. We don't pro-rate.". I wish I could steal money as easy as they do. If a contract expires, and you DO NOT renew, you should be able to walk away the day it expires, right?
