Now, even though your daughter had no reception, the other 3 lines were still in a coverage area. So you should be responsilbe for cancelation fees. As for the equipment, they have a one year warranty, so if there were mechanical issues, they should have been repaired. There is a warranty exchange department that usually process exchanges seamlessly

I have been informed that this bill will be reported to credit bureaus in February. I have tried to reach a well-informed customer rep, but Cingular pays their people to make up lies, based on getting a different piece of information or a different reason why I owe different amounts of money. Not the employees fault, we all need our jobs. I will continue the fight, and am looking for feedback from people in the same situation, or people that have faught and won.

Let me inform you of this. the balance that was sent to the third party now has been assesed an 18% fee of collection and the company the account was sent to has possibly reported you the credit bureaus. Cingular has no remorse at all for setting people up for bad credit nor will they back down on charging the consumer what they feel is right. they even fire their employees for not paying their bills so you know the company is no good at all.
